He's not saying it because of nationality. Watch Pintor's fight against Johnny Owen, one would become rather wary of boxing's dangers after being involved in such a tragedy.

Margarito beat him, but it wasn't that bad to warrant a retirement.

      People need to chill.

He's prime right now. 1 loss shouldn't derail a world class fighter or make him shot.

How would you know? Miguel was destroyed on that day. Not even Tony was the same after that fight. You're just pretending to know what you don't. No fighter has taken that much of a beating and fought so many tough fights like Miguel has.

He's soften up he would've beaten J. Clottey easily if it weren't cause of his previous battles. Mosley was much more of a challenge, but Miguel didn't look as nearly as bad as he did with Miguel. If J.Clottey would've fought the same Cotto that fought Mosley Miguel wouldn't have trouble with him. Miguel is clearly not the same.

I assume his point is, if he loses to Pacquaio then it is a sign that his body has taken enough. He should not lose to Cotto is the guys opinion because Pacquiao is smaller and from a lower weight (sort of).

Cotto hasn't just had a beating from Magarito who possibly had plaster, he's been in some wars and has gotten hurt. Getting hit by plaster surely ****s you up.

Torres, Judah, Clottey just off the top of my head. He took shots from Shane that were quite hard too.

The guy is right that if he loses then hie has enough money and should keep his health.

However he is still a quality fighter and it's 50/50 for me. He can give plenty of great fights for us.

One loss? He got Plasterize and before had two grueling battles with Mosley and Judah. He had another tough battle with Clottey.

Why do you think they were comparing him with Gatti? Because Cotto even though he has technic likes to put on a fight. He isn't this fast pace fighter that runs away from contact. He's willing to take some punishment as long as he can dish some out.

if cotto loses to a smaller man at his weight division, that means he should retire because there are more dangerous opponents at 147 lbs than a midget who used to be a former 106 lber.
