why is segrio martinez fighting p-will at 160?????

this make no sense to me.

segrio is a champ at 154 and it should be at his weight on his terms and not on paul. WTF did paul do to make segrio move up in weight to fight him, beat the "stationary defense" winky wright (no disrespect to winky or paul)? it's not like paul can't make weight. i can only think of the reason that segrio is moving up cause of $$$$$ but if that the case why can't it be at 154??

i just think the weight will affect him and he won't be able to bring his best vs paul. this just a way for HBO to get paul more names....

just something that on my mind since this fight started.

pwill is who hbo is riding. team pwill says they have been training for 160 lb fight so they dont want to go down to 154.

B*tch move, they should fight at 154 so pwill can get a junior middle strap. Looks better in their resume.

But i think everybody wins out & has no complaints. sergio gets a payday on hbo & he doesnt have to risk his title, so he has something to fall back on just in case he loses, pwill doesnt have to recalibrate his weight & stays on track for 160.

I thought that was weird to.

All I know is that Williams won't be able more 147 no matter what he says

excatly...i think it more oppotunites at 154 than 160. you got santos, cintron, kirkland (when he gets out), spinks and if not he can go back to WW if someone willing to fight him at that weight

that still not fair to martinez that he has to move UP when he's the champ. that excatly the ***** move that HBO pulls over everyone so they think this fight will be fair.

Not to mention, Martinez will keep his title no matter what happens.

Martinez was fine with not giving his belt up, and how does it really effect the fight?

it not the belt im talking about. im talking bout him moving up in weight to fight paul. don't see any point to it other than $$$$$ and bumping up paul resume.

im just all for intresting fights. @ 160 don't sound as intresting to me.

How does 160 really change the fight? If it is interesting at 154 it is the same guys at 160 really~
