No he would not. Calzaghe from last year probably wins a razor thin decision.

Dawson is not beating the **** out of kessler, mainly because he never beat the **** out of any fighter of note that he fought. Might UD Mikkel, in a very safty first fight, but thats one of the fight that can go either way.

Your otherwise excellent memory fails this time. They didn't want a catchweight. They only wanted a fight for Dawson's belt. Today it appears strange that Dawson couldn't even drop a couple of lbs given that Dawson a couple months ago said he was willing to drop down to 168.

However that might be because the money suudenly exploded at SMW with the super 6 and it suddenly seemed worth the effort now that Dawson is running out of competition at 175 and all the 168 pounders are tied up in a long time.

I think I remember us going at it with two articles that said opposite things

You may be right though. I don't see that fight happening anytime soon and it's fine - both have great opportunities to stamp their own imprint on the sport.

kess would give him more than enought to think about, kess's own handspeed and footwork are exceptional, imo when kess's right hand detonates on dawsons chin hes gonna know hes in their with a smart, talented and in his prime fighter.
