Dawson put on an absolute clinic. I wanted him to stand and trade a bit more. The 5th round pissed me off, but there is no way right now any 175lb'er on the world can take him. Dawson is the goods. In the old days he would be well respected and beloved, nowadays with the type of fans the sport has left.
Like it or don't, Chad Dawson is the goods and is STILL improving

Dawson put up a kick ass performance. I'm not denying that. But don't try to pretend that this is the version of Glen Johnson that KOd Roy Jones and fought two competitive fights with Tarver. Johnson is toward the end of the road now. He could still probably beat some of the lower tier fighters in the top ten, but I have him losing to Cloud and Pascal easily at this stage. And I'm saying that as a huge Johnson fan. But Dawson needed to put that ghost of the first fight to rest, so I can't complain.Comment

Yes you can because I'm doing it right now. Chad ain't on Floyd's level. Chad doesn't have the stamina, doesn't use his height/ reach to up his activity, lacks inside fighting and uses alot of wasted movement. Just my opinion, I don't hate on the guy though.Comment

Watch Johnson vs. Daniel Judah, the decline was as clear as daylight to see. After I had watched that, I knew he wouldn't stand a chance in a rematch against Dawson.Comment

I don't agree with the last part of your post at all. Back in the day, people loved to see big punching action fighters like Bob Foster and Archie Moore and in the nineties Roy Jones. Chad Dawson is good, but don't try to act like the style that he uses wouldn't cause him to get creamed against those guys. It will hurt his marketability in the long run that he doesn't have the ability to hurt opponents, because the Lightheavyweight division is a division of where people expect to see KOs. I can appreciate a pure boxer myself though, but I still think Dawson will get overrated by a lot of people in the next few days.Dawson put on an absolute clinic. Well, its my opinion that your opinion is wrong, but like i said, its just my opinion.
Chad, in the same manner that Floyd did against Baldomir and DLH, used his boxing ability and intellegence to be elusive and dominate his opponent. Like Floyd, he didn't knock his opponent out, but he dominated.Comment
