Hello everyone, I just joined today. I myself like Gatti. However,I also believe that he is very overrated, and that Mayweather will school him. If you look at his resume you will not see any future hall of famers that he has beaten. People like to say that the De La Hoya loss was because Oscar was so much bigger than Arturo,but die hard Gatti fans will turn around at look at his fight w/ Gamache as if it were spectacular, even though Arturo outweighed him by 200 pounds. Bottom line Mayweathers skills simply outclass Gatti,and his heart will have nothing to do w/ the outcome of hte fight.

I'm Glad You Guys agree with me, but i want to get something straight i am taking nothing away from Gatti, but i just don't think he has enough firepower or skill to win this one.

He doesn't have a natural skill or physical advantage over Mayweather? He is stronger, hit's a ton harder, and his chin is better. Mayweather has never had to absorb the amount of punches Gatti has in fights against bigger, harder hitting opponents. That's three right there.

His chin is Ok, but floyd has a decent amount of Power, I don't think Gatti is stronger, toughter maybe but not stronger, and well who cares for his punching power when a boxer boxes the way floyd does he doesn't get hit, he is to good ,there for doesn't have to absorb unessesarry punishment.

I think gatti is good, but i disagree with you on all of those, I think floyd can hold up just as good as Gatti in those areas you mentioned

You think Floyd has just as good a punch? Have you seen the Gamache fight? Floyd has never thrown such a brutal punch in his life. Floyd hits okay for a lightweight, but he is nothing compared to Gatti. I think you are letting Floyd's own assessment of the fight, "I'm just as strong, I'll walk over him" etc, influence you when in fact it's all hot air. It's fantasy. Floyd is the smaller man the and the lighter puncher in this fight. He's quicker and he has better skills but that's it.

I can gauruntee you this: If Floyd fought the same underweight, outgunned Gamache....His head would have literally came off his shoulders from multiple shots. Mayweather would look equally, if not more impressive against him, if he had the 20 something pound advantage....like Gatti did.
