Weight was a factor because when you are getting hit by a bigger man it makes no difference if he is trying to dominate you with his technical ability rather than his physically strength, he is still able to hit you harder than most people have hit you in your career, that can change your decision on when to attack, how many chances to take, how much pressure you put on, it can change game plans and tactics, fighters like to go out and establish respect!!! when they fight someone to let them know they cant walk in the front door, but when the guy your fighting is a LW who cant hurt you, thus meaning you can take more liberties and apply more pressure knowing that your punches are!! hurting him because he is not a WW then you start to understand.

That is without talking about how he looked in his recent fights, where he clearly looked like he was starting to slide, still a good fighter but not the fighter he was, add a few pounds, turn him into a fat guy with no speed because of the weight then ..........

Mayweather looked spectacular because of all these intangibles.

Finally, someone that made sense in all this mess.

definitely had a lot do with it but when you give up, size, strength and speed against another fighter well need I say more?

With all due respect the skill gap is so vast that JMM stood no chance at ANY weight...Floyd is just soooooo much better then him..JMM looked lost.

The size does play an issue in the sense that Floyd had speed and power for a WW.

JMM coming in bloated, bringing up no power, no speed against a guy who's fought at that division for 3-4 yrs.

It was Ringling Bros on PPV, truthfully.

JMM was fat at that weight. We've been over this.

At his natural weight JMM is just as fast or faster than Floyd. He went punch for punch w/ Manny ffs.

It was Marquez's size that killed him.
