Then he should put more effort in because what he's done lately in the ring has been a load of bollocks.
Haye hasn't done much either. ONE fight at heavyweight in the past 20 months, against a shot old Monte Barrett who had been KOed in round 2 by Cliff Couser a year earlier.

Valuev and his promoter have made a LOT more money for his past 5 fights than the Gayemaker and his partners/promoters have.

Any sensible boxing promoter would choose the man with class over a childlike, mouthy fraud.

I don't think so, Valuev is popular in Germany- where the fight is being held...

Regardless, Haye has been involved in entertaining fights whilst Big Val has not. That's why this bout has good value. If this were a re-rematch with Ruiz, nobody would really give a ****.

One can say what they like about Haye's personality, but he has proven over time that he can bring it in the ring - or at least make an exciting fight out of it (even against Thompson, in defeat).

Nope. Haye is the attraction. Why is he signed to Golden Boy then?

Remember, this business isn't about class and courtesy, it's about violence and bravado.

I know you personally like classy guys, and you're better for it. But when boxing promoters look for the next big thing they're not picking classy.

Here's the situation, two identical fighters, equally as talented and everything. One is classy, always respecting his opponents and not playing to the media, and the other is a loud mouth who talks a lot of trash and hypes up the fight.

Which fighter would any sensible promoter pick?

If Haye isn't in this fight, it's not even available on American PPV.

The other is Mayweather, I don't like Mayweather but his mouth has made him the PPV attraction that he is cause most of his fights were pretty average.

They certainly weren't of Cotto or Pacquiaos standard.

Here's the thing though. You're comparing 3 exciting and aggressive fighters to Valuev. Compare Valuev to other fighters who aren't extremely aggressive.

                    Here's two:
Mayweather - his loud mouth and bravado have made him a polarizing figure and a massive PPV attration.
Dawson - he's the quiet and classy type, no surprise that he doesn't get the buzz and has trouble drawing crowds.

Maybe if Dawson wasn't afraid to fight someone his own age he would get the buzz and have less trouble drawing crowds.
