Be honest -- you mis-read and jumped in too quick. You cannot dispute the facts that MP's last three opponents have been left-hand dominant, don't have particularly fantastic right hands, and an important weapon that has proven to create problems for Pacquiao in the past is an effective right.

I believe one reason why Cotto was chosen is because Manny has been eating left-hand dominant fighters for lunch recently, therefore he stands a good chance against Cotto. A lot of people have been failing to recognize the technicalities, they usually boil it down to "Cotto's too big, therefore he will win", which is just far too simplistic. They also fail to factor in the business side of it -- basically, if this goes to the cards, Cotto won't be winning, IMO. The powers that be want Pacquiao-Mayweather and will do everything possible to make it happen.
