Pacquiao's last 3 fights are against left hand dominant fighters

look, im not saying cotto's gonna be like those fighters. all i said was pac was able to perform well against fighters whose left hand is their best punch.

im aware that pacquiao could lose. ive stated that before.

can we have a thread where we don't suck on the nuts of our favorite fighters? and look on the technical side of boxing for once?

None of them were southpaws though,only David Diaz was. There's a difference between fighting a southpaw who fights in an orthodox style and a southpaw who actually fights in a southpaw stance.

And are you sure that Ricky Hatton is left handed?

edit: i think a guy is still a southpaw even if he is right handed. southpaw refers to the stance.

take de la hoya for example. he is left handed, but his stance is orthodox. he is still a left hand dominant fighter

hatton's best punch was the that left hook. that is why i say he is also left hand dominant, even though his stance is orthodox.

The thing about Cotto is that most people forget that Cotto is the 2nd best welterweight for a reason!!Cotto can punch with both hands & while he doesn't fly around the ring with his footwork,his hand speed is actually pretty fast!!While Cotto is lefthanded,he does posses a good right hand!!The thing missing from Pacman's previous 3 fights are the dominating jab that Cotto possess's!!When Cotto start's pumping out that jab,it's not gonna be nothing like those other 3 fights,believe me!!Especially when the jab feels like a southpaw cross!!

Co-sign. Yes, DLH and Hatton best punches were the left hook to the body. However, its a toss up as to whether Cotto's jab or Cotto's left hook is his best punch, they are both incredibly powerful. Also, as stated Cotto has a solid right hand that he throws quite a bit, sure, it might be a Pavlik type right, but I'm sure its at least on par with a straight right from Marquez if not stronger. Even then it really doesn't matter, because Cotto doesn't beat you with one punch, he throws a punch to set up another punch, and another punch. He throws combo's just like Manny though I'd say he's more methodically and less wreckless about it.

problem is - he sets up that left hook and jab... if pac knows the punch is coming and he is faster to throw than that punch that is coming, what's the result? let's see on nov. 14
