None of them were southpaws though, only David Diaz was. There's a difference between fighting a southpaw who fights in an orthodox style and a southpaw who actually fights in a southpaw stance.

And are you sure that Ricky Hatton is left handed?

only idiots don't give pacquiao props in his last three fights. im not even gonna get into it.

that's not the point of this thread. marquez was able to be competetive against manny cause of his right hand. so did morales, along with his jab in the first fight.

i think if your'e gonna beat pacquiao, you gotta have a very good right hand.

ricky hatton's best punch was that left hook to the body. oscar's best punch was a left hook also. david diaz is a southpaw...

Sorry, but it is what it is--Pacquiao fought good to subpar competition in Diaz, Oscar, Hatton. Even trying to compare them to Cotto is insane. Just because Cotto is left hand dominant doesn't mean he's going to get steam rolled by Pacquiao this will be a VERY tough fight for Pacquiao which he could lose. A real test.

there are plenty of threads about those fights already.. go post there.

in boxing, there are many factors in the fight. i think this is one of them, his ability to dodge left hands (especially left hooks). that's why he was barely tagged in those fights.

im not saying cotto's gonna be like pac's three fights. im just saying pac looked good against fighters whose best punch is with the left hand.

this thread isn't about how ****ty his opponent were. im trying to get some technical feedback on how he was able to not get hit with fighters whose best punch is the left hand.. which may reflect how he does well against cotto.

i should have started a thread like:

"Lol!! Pacquiao was on Kimmel last night... he sang this song. it ******.. lolz"

                or

"RA doesn't know boxing!!!! he doesn't know ****. Mayweather rocks. PPV King!"

                idiots.

None of them, had a defse, nor a riht hand, nor Cotto's boxin skills, power, strength and hunger.

look, im not saying cotto's gonna be like those fighters. all i said was pac was able to perform well against fighters whose left hand is their best punch.

im aware that pacquiao could lose. ive stated that before.

can we have a thread where we don't suck on the nuts of our favorite fighters? and look on the technical side of boxing for once?
