  • Cotto's confidence appears to be significantly better than in his last fight. I believe that this is a great indicator of his preparation and dedication to winning... I think that Pacquiao has bitten off more than he can chew and many people will be surprised when Cotto is the victorious one. This has been a difficult fight to predict, but I have been watching tapes of Pacquiao and Cotto and it is evident to me that Cotto's style will give Pacquiao more problems than Pac will give to Cotto. Cotto does have a lot of fresh scar tissue above his eye from the Clottey fight and that may play a significant role in this fight, should the wound re-open.

    • Cotto isn't taking **** from anyone. He's going in there to prove to himself that he's the best fighter out there. I like his attitude and it's going to carry into the ring.

I don't see anything arrogant or cynical in Cotto's remarks. He is very restrained., and as factual as a truthful person can be. He's saying he believes he will win, he doesn't say anything rude or crude against his opponent, but gives him credit for being a great fighter.

It may be more than Cotto usually says, but still modest and low-key. On the opposite side the Roach has been shooting his mouth off every tiny chance he gets, making one think that HE's the star, not Manny P. I don't believe a single day goes by without a pronouncement from "on high", that is, of course the Roach. And they are sometimes contradictory.

The guy's in love with his own voice.

This is pure nonsense. In EVERY fight, there are two sides. And each one says he's going to win. Only one wins, and the fact that the other lost is recalled only in statistics.
