Bernard Hopkins isn't much of anything to me either. Good fighters overall, but I had no idea a fighter's residence has anything to do with being a good boxer/fighter. Is this all part PR?
Its like saying that "Canadians Hockey players".....................Its what those ppl are born into......................Go to Philly, and watch a pro or am boxing match...............Its electric in there, the crowd goes nuts with every punched thrown.......................Philly is and always will be the boxing capital of the world

Oh? And where does the money go to? The amateur fighters? From what I heard we don't get paid.

Who does the money go to then?

Ive never been to a free boxing fight in Philly and I live in Philly. We always have very good cards like someone said either pro or am. Also some of the area of the city some fighters are from you actually do have to fight your way through. Also you get alot of people opening gyms for kids so they stay out of trouble. Also Bhop was a down and out thug. He did whatever his boys told him to do and he paid for it. So he is kinda like a hero here bc alot of kids guys are in his situation or atleast going there and he is someone to look up to. There is a good part of this city that dont have enough money to help kids with a rec center or a pal center. So they look to boxing to help. Bhop has also helped by donating money.

This guy mustve gotten beat down by someone from Philly. Bc he is really bitter about something. Also the money goes toward the place it is held at. The community. Remember there are alot of parts in Philly that dont have money so alot of that money go to there. So stop hating my man.

No he's just pissed because he made a thread earlier about where's the best place to live to train for boxing because it's to cold where he lives. I said boxing is not supposed to be easy, and that some of the best fighters came up out of Philly, so now he's trying to **** on philly to discredit me.

I never got the whole stop hating thing. My comments never had anything to do with "hating", especially my comments that you quoted. I asked if amateurs get paid or where does the money go to. Plain and simple. I forgot you're from Philly. This misunderstanding on YOUR part might cause a shootout. Your bad.

I never shat on Philly entirely. I was curious about it. Saw the taylor vs. Chavez fight. The commentators seem to exaggerated Meldrick being from Philly so I was curious as to why there's an exagerration with Philly fighters when we all know a KO punch/puncher from ANYWHERE int he country/world is just as vicious. I hope this is not Philly pity?
