He's had 31 fights, undefeated. Khan has got to fight him because he's a mandatory challenger. Not Khan's fault, it's the WBA forcing him to either fight or possibly vacate the title, or suffer financial penalty. This is the fight which establishes Salita's ranking. Whether he wins or loses, if he puts on a decent performance he'll have a much better ranking.

Khan just beat Kotelnik who was ranked in the Top 5, in his 22nd fight. No one can honestly say that Khan hasn't fought a top level fighter. Just because Kotelnik wasn't a high profile name internationally doesn't mean he was any less of a fighter. Kotelnik was ranked Number 4 by Ring Magazine when Khan beat him. So explain the hate?

Are some people just too anti-Khan to accept how high Kotelnik was officially rated when Khan beat him? I mean to beat the number 4 guy in the whole division, a world title holder, in only your 22nd fight is a hell of an achievement on its own if you look at it honestly. That's the fight where if people were only hating on him for his record, the hate should have ended. But it keeps going on, so explain the hate?

Not really no, because there was angle to that fight to, Prescott was a puncher but he was an unknown puncher and the thought process behind it seemed to be that with all the criticisms Khan was getting about not being able to take a shot, that if they fought a puncher it would silence the critics, that said they did not have the balls to fight a legit established fighter who had a record of KO's over ranked opponents/contenders, they thought they would pull the wool over our eyes and give us some guy with a nice looking record on paper but in all likelihood a guy who only looked so devastating a puncher because he was fighting nobodies, however it backfired dramatically, Prescott was a big a puncher as his record suggested.
