For the Winky fight he weighed in at 157, only three pounds higher than 154, and he's got more than a month to lose the three pounds. And he claims that he walks around between fights at just over 150, and that he actually has to gain weight in training in order to fight at higher weights - so he really shouldn't have any problem making 154, with more than a month to go before the fight. The fact that he refused to fight Martinez at 154 makes me very sceptical about everything he's been claiming.

all im saying is cotto has faced much stiffer competition latley than pac has people are making too much of the hatton delahoya wins ,pacs an elite level those guys werent,i mean mayweather isnt the hardest puncher and he ko'd hatton, years ago so im saying pacs latest wins are somewhat inflated.who knows, wont be as lopsided as hatton or delahoya thats for certain.

Your still overlooking the fact that Marquez timed Pac and gave him problems. Sure pac has imporved with both hands but when he has a fighter timing his shots it doesn't have to be a counter punch fight he will be uncomfortable. Im positive Pac will be a very different fighter come fight night.

And he doesn't really make much use of his reach advantage - he likes to fight on the inside, a bit like Corrales.

I'm sure he can do 147--probably struggle a bit though. I'm sure he chose 160 out of convenience.

I'm not overlooking it at all, and I'm not even claiming that Pac will beat Cotto. I actually think it's a pick 'em fight and that Cotto should be the narrow favourite. But Pac has improved since he fought Marquez. Whether he's improved enough to beat Cotto remains to be seen, especially given the fact that Cotto is naturally heavier than he is. I think Cotto will probably win. But I was simply responding to someone who said he hasn't improved and that he only looked better because he was fighting weak competition. And that's not true - he has improved.

don't try to play that **** with me

you said that pac didn't have a right hand when he fought marquez, and that fight was just before he demolished david diaz with right hooks and even uppercuts

i said no fighter completes his arsenal from one fight to another, and according to you, he did so

btw, quote me on the post where i said that pacquiao hasn't improved. i noticed that you said that to another poster

It doesn't do much for his credibility, when he's calling out Welterweights all the time, but won't even fight a Jnr Middleweight champion in his own weight class. It makes it far easier for Mosley and Mayweather to turn him down on the basis that he's a Middleweight.

i think the whole pac is incredibly improved is greatly exxagerated, hes not doing anything now that he wasnt doing against jmm2, pac totally was throwing plenty of right hooks and jabs against jmm,the difference is the opponent quality, jmm knows how to fight leftys,as well as cotto. the only difference is pac has brought his skill set intact to welterweight.hatton had weak chin and was a face first guy delahoya was never good ahainst leftys and was way past his prime.this sis a pickem fight
