My thoughts exactly when I read this story today. Instead of keeping his fighter active and the public interested, it sounds like Kushner will shelve David once again. What a shame...

Kushner is showing some serious ignorance also by pretending that Kali Meehan is not a higher rated fighter than David Tua.

In fact, unless something has changed, Meehan is rated #2 by the WBA which is the only belt that Tua would have any hope of winning.

Why Kushner would disregard Meehan when there are clearly very few options that would advance Tua's rating is beyond me.

HW division does not have the same quality or excitment as it did back in the 90's,the klits brothers have shown that by out boxing every fighter put in front of them.
Tua's management was right by not opting to not fight ethier friday or meehan ,meehan was knocked out by a young tua back in the amaturs (david was only 16),and friday would have lost to shane cameron if not for the last round stoppage,cameron was comfortably ahead on points.
These two fighters would have been stopped in the early rounds by tua and the boxing world would have being complaining saying tua is still fighting bums/journey men,Hopefully tua/haye can bring back some excitment back to this dull division and and give the klits brothers more of a challenge in the ring.
