Remember that fight that Juan Manuel Lopez had with Freddie Roach's
other filipino fighter Gerry Penalosa? That's how I think Cotto/Pacquiao
is going to go but more competitive. Cotto size and skill will be enough
I think. The reason I am not so sure about Manny is that he is not really
a big puncher compared to what Cotto has felt and he just doesn't display
defense that well. If Cotto comes to the ring with his A game, I ssee no
reason why he can't beat Manny. With that said, can't sleep on Manny
because he does have the ability to shock but with all due respect his
last 3 opponents wasn't that competitive and no matter what and how
I feel about Cotto over all skill, he does pack a punch and fights his
heart out, taking punishment to give it so Manny better be ready
to go all out because his speed will not be a factor, he's going to
have to hurt Cotto, pressure and back him up.

i disagree with chavez, miguel is bigger but not equally talented. pac has more talent than cotto, resume's don't lie.

i know. and it can go either way.
but ifpac just raises both of his hands if tagged by cotto's best punch, then pac has the edge to win thefight. the first 3 rounds will be crucial for pac cuz it will show how he will take cotto's punches.

WOW! Your ignorance is overwhelming it's sad, but it doesn't suprise me because that is what todays day and age is built off. First I don't recall Ortiz or Delahoya bieng born in Mexico? Hmmm must have missed it? By the way they buddy when you are born in the US you are American aside from your heritage. Mexico boxing is dead as we know but I'm offended when you call those fighters Mexican and I am not even Mexican. Second, What real Mexican boxers quit other than those two you mentioned? Which I'm sure there's a few regardless of race, cmon its 2009 boxing it ain't what it was where it was about the sport not so much the money ( missing the warriors) :sigh:. Third it's recently! Your the funny one homie ....

Well, tell Cotto to prepare his defense good enough coz he is very hittable. he wobbled against Ricardo Torres and succumbed to Margarito who was not a knock out artist. tsk, tsk, tsk...
How dare u compare an unknown up and comer Shawn Porter to a experienced experimented Champion like Cotto. If Cotto sparred with Porter, he'd probably knock him out. You cant compare. Granted that Porter may have a bright future ahead of him but we shouldn't dare to us him as a barometer to have Pacquiao having what it takes to beat Cotto.

dont get caught up in the hype, nobody's invincible. cotto will KO the pacman, but thx to all the hype cotto will finally get the respect hes due....cotto & puerto rico's glory will not be denied
cotto is not a more skilled fighter, if he was he would be fighting middleweights and would be a multiple-weight champ. a true pound for pound.

Chavez,we don't pick guys up in a clinch and throw them to the groung in Boxing. That tactic can't help Cotto.Cotto simply needs to be sharp and needs to quick on his feet.I hope Cotto doesn't listen to this guy Chavez and come into the ring like a big Frankenstein, and try to just overpower Manny. This is one fight that Cotto needs to be his smartest in the ring.Cotto needs to know when to be a smart counter puncher and when to be the bigger man.
