    Please provide...
I honestly don't know if it helps a boxer. Vargas used it and got KO'd quicker...

Look at Shane Mosley. Now look when he used it against Oscar in the second fight. Now compare that on how he looked in the firtst fight when he didn't use. He was way better without it. He threw more combose and it look like he more agility without it. Now with it he looked stiff unable to throw combo's. So I am not sure how it helps...

People who use them get a boost of energy, power and strength. They also manage to stay injured free. It all depends what you might be taking. but it helps their training a lot.
while others might have trouble getting lean into shape steroids makes it easier for those that use them. Being in shape takes self sacrifice , but steroids is a shortcut for it. But it will cause harm for those that used it in the long run. Anything not natural may cause harm to your body. Especially when used excessively.

But that's what I'm sayin, when do you just say, "(Fill in the blank) had a rough night"? There's no proof (at least that I can find) where a fighter using steroids propelled his strength and stamina in a fight where it was more than noticeable.

But again...if anyone can provide proof I'd really like to see it.

De La Hoya said Fernando Vargas was very strong at the beginning of the fight. He didn't think he could beat him, but as the fight progress De La Hoya kept using his technic and got to him. I think steroids helps you being into shape and strong, but it won't help your technic. I not sure it help Vargas resistance, because he got knocked out, but it might of been the effects from his last lost to Trinidad in where he got k.O. at the end.

The proof is contained in a little thing called "common sense".

As mentioned, they don;t help your performance more so than they help you actually make it to the ring.

It's in that vein that James Toney was able to fight and beat Ruiz when he did. By his own admission, his shoulder would've never healed in time had he not taken a banned substance for no other reason than to speed up rehab in order to secure the Ruiz fight when he did.

They DO help in performance. They allow you to recover from physical exertion faster (which is a key ingredient in being a good boxer).

Of course steroids can help you, that's a ****** question. Just because DLH beat Vargas while on them, doesn't mean they don't help. It's just that Vargas on roids is still not as good as DLH.

They make you faster, stronger and help you to recuperate from injury better.

There is a reason athletes take steroids, it helps them....
