honestly...hopkins is a good fighter...not great because he built his rep beating up two divisons smaller fighters his whole career, but nothing brings me more satisfaction than to stop a hopkins ballicker in his tracks with the truth...

Pavlik the smaller man coming up in weight to fight him? PAVLIK IS A MIDDLEWEIGHT! HOPKINS IN HIS PRIME WAS HIS BEST AT MIDDLEWEIGHT! He gained age and is older and not as fast as he use to be, how does that favor him? And he beat Calzaghe IMO landing the more meaningful shots. Not to mention he beat Winky, Oscar, Trinidad who like was stated several times before, both their best weight classes are 154, so Hopkins beating them when his best weight class was 160 is a such a bad accomplishment? He wrecked Tarver who was alight heavyweight AT light heavyweight. Calzhages punk ass wouldn't even fight him in his prime, he rather fight bums in europe until 20 years later when Hopkins & Jones were past their primes. He never ducked anybody. He fought everybody he could and he cashing in right now for the long run geting all the big money fights now at 43. Dumbass thread. Hopkins is a top 75 greatest of all time and thats not even on talents. Thats hard work on his skills mastering the sport.

Last time I checked europeans aren't a race. Hopkins was smart saying all that stuff and pushing Winky. You were dumb enough to let it fire you up right? Just like many others which led to more people watching the fight. It was smart business. He's not racist, get over it. He didn't disrespect pavlik at all with race. No, he was jealous of Winky's status as a master technician, the only one whose reputation as a defensive master in the middle divisions rivalled his. Thats why he pushed him.
