Miguel Cotto will win the decision. I don't know if it will be a SD or UD, but Miguel will win. All due respect to Pacquaio, he is a great fighter with speed and a Pernell type corner. But it will be Miguel's determination and desire to win that will give him the victory.

People are underestimating Miguel's defense, he will be very smart that night. In the Hatton vs. Pacquaio fight, Lampley said, after Pacquiao knocked Hatton out, when Pacquaio quit looking for the knock-out, and went back to boxing, he got the knock-out. Miguel Cotto is not Ricky Hatton so I don't think he will be in harms way for a one knock out punch like Pacquiao gave to Hatton; Miguel keeps his hands high and his shoulders up.

SO if Manny Pacquiao boxes Miguel Cotto he will lose IMO because Cotto is the better and more intelligent boxer, although Pacquaio is crafty, he is not consistent enough, and I think Cotto can take some of his confidence away by hitting him with big shots and being patient like Juan Manuel Marquez; also I think when Cotto gets in trouble, he will switch to the southpaw stance and confuse Manny a bit; Cotto should switch from conventional to southpaw often.

If Manny stops boxing and looks for the knockout, or is overly aggressive against Miguel, he probably will knock Cotto down and hurt him - but we've all seen that before haha Miguel will get up like in the Corley or Torres fight and knock his oppenent down - but like Lampley basically warned about Pacquaio deviating from a boxing sytle, he will get into a slugging match with Cotto, hurt him and knock him down, but then eventually get knocked out.

Someone Pacquaio size, and not the size of Margarito (whether he loaded his gloves or not; I think he did) or Clotty, who is a HIGHLY technical boxer with A++ defensive skill, not to mention his protective physical structure, looking like a jr. middle weight for sure cannot IMO win in a slugging match against Cotto.

Bottom Line: Cotto by UD or SD; if Pacquaio wins I think it will be 9-11th round KO

im goin with cotto hands down..it has nothing to do with hand speed or power... lets face it the last time pacquiao took a a shot flush was back at superfeather weight, diaz (LW) was over matched oscar(WW) was weight drain dehydrated hatton (LWW) was target practice with his chin up in the air like bill cowher. neither fighter was able to clinch pacquiao let alone land a clean shot

cotto can and he will land clean shots on pacquiao just like was able to do with mosley and judah both with excellent hand speed so the question i purpose??? can pacquiao take a welterweight punch. and i dont think he can i see cotto driving pacquiao back with his power punches moving him around the ring and trapping pacquiao and break him down unlike jmm who was impatient at times when he caught pac him corners cotto is going to be very patient look for opening in pacquiao suspect D and punish him if u dont think he can just look at the clottey fight when he trapped clottey in the corner for over a minute as cotto pounded away patiently

COTTO in 8 TKO if 9 or > then KO

Miguel Cotto has not been impressive in his last 3 outings. He fought good competition coming up and touted to be better than Felix Trinidad but against his last 3 top level opponents he's lost one and barely won the other two. Judging from his performance alone there is no reason to believe he will beat Pacquaio. IMO Cotto lost the Mosley fight.. Pac not only has faster hand speed but I believe the biggest factor is going to be footspeed and lateral movement. Cottos slower footspeed and limited lateral movement may be a huge disadvantage in this fight. Like Hopkins lateral movement exposed both Pavlik and Wright. The difference in lateral movement and footspeed could make this fight easier for Pacquaio than expected. While Cotto has a punchers chance Pac has the power and speed to end early on KO, end in middle rounds on TKO from another Cotto cut or late KO or TKO fro
Cotto routinely fading. Stamina is another big advantage for Pac. There are a lot of disadvantages for Cotto to overcome. Pac only has to overcome power shots. I truly believe we are looking at one of the greatest athletes of our era. I'm looking for Pac to DESTROY Cotto and solidify his pound for pound status, Tasmanian Devil status, modern day Bruce Lee status, Mayweathers most avoided status. Pac by TKO

          The True Cross

Playtime is over. Put the kids to bed, get all of your Mayweather DVDs and hide them in shame. The truth is coming to Lost Wages, Nevada and will weave a thrill that only the most daring defenders of the craft known as Boxing can support. Lenny Bruce would stand in awe of such magical, tightrope action. Lenny knew the truth when he saw and heard it and Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto speak this language in a tongue known only by spirits of bravery and spoken only by gym **** in the darkest of all possible places. These two shall shout with their hands and exercise them in furious passion. It should be rather delightful for those of us who select to witness such demanding endeavors.
While ‘Money’ ran his con with the full cooperation of the great Juan Manuel Marquez, two cats were preparing for the actual action fans pay their hard earned, blue collared cash to witness. At a reasonable 145 pounds apiece, these two little gargantuans shall attempt to prove that immovable forces and objects can still collide with a glorious as well as victorious result. The very idea of a kid, who began his efforts at 106 pounds, engaging a natural welterweight such as Cotto, is an astounding, athletic achievement in and of itself. The idea of Manny earning a big win as the result of this feat is an even more daring thought for some.
On November 14, the Philippine phenomenon and the Puerto Rican nightmare shall face off in what many declare shall be the most exciting contest this year has yet to provide.
There is little doubt that it is the most anticipated match of this season.
On the first installment of HBO’s documentary series 24/7, we were able to examine fist first, the actual events that have transpired thus far as the preparations for this battle unveil.
One thing is perfectly clear thus far. Manny Pacquiao has been more distracted than usual due to the natural disasters which have transpired throughout his cherished homeland.
He chose to train in an area surrounded by one of the worst natural disasters in the history of the Philippines. Even when faced with the arrival of another round of typhoon travesty finding its way to his front door, he still felt little compulsion to vacate the drenched territory.
When trainer Freddie Roach confronts the fighter and strongly suggests that it’s time to split town, Paquiao appears almost listless when faced with the prospect of getting trapped even longer in a place on the map which cannot further his training schedule.
There have been consistent critiques of head honcho Freddie Roach for his outspoken comments regarding his fighter’s possible dominance over his opponent.
The footage and conversations we become privileged to, sustain the idea that being Manny’s main man can be a frustrating, if not at times, intolerable task.
Roach is one of the most gifted minds pugilism has ever produced. He is also suffering from the debilitating disease known as Parkinson’s and the last thing his health requires is a stressful workout from the one man he cares for more than any other on the planet. Freddie raised Pacquiao to be a complete professional fighter and it is questionable whether Manny could be held accountable to the demands Boxing makes, if Roach were to relinquish his top spot. Yet, this father and son-like entity engage each other exactly like the family that they are.
This training camp has been an unusual blend of atmospheric conditions of the sky, the earth and the human soul. This prize fight is the largest of Manny’s illustrious career and a win would cement his legend. If he can succeed in out foxing the compelling aggression that Miguel Cotto brings to the canvass, there is no need to suggest that even Floyd Mayweather matters very much in the scope of future events.
Floyd’s last outing was an exhibition. As a great poet once emanated, this **** is going to be for real, man.

The other side of the coin presents a portrait of a calm, balanced and content Miguel Cotto. He has made peace with the beating sustained at the gloves of Antonio Margaritio. We shall never know for certain if Antonio came into the ring on that fateful evening with explosive plaster within his arsenal. We do know that Joshua Clottey gave Miguel all that he could handle until the rally that clinched a Cotto victory in his last contest.
Those two experiences are the kind that normally takes enough out of a fighter to suggest that he can no longer make it to the final frames with the same intensity that he once exuded.
The pleasures of Tampa, Florida combined with the cool precision of his training regimen, the comforts of his family and friends and his relationship with new trainer, Joe Santiago presents the picture of an ideal zone for the Puerto Rican star.
The two camps are a contrast in demeanor, activity and pressure. Cotto appears to be vacationing while Pacquiao seems contained in a battle with nature as well as the human nature of his closest colleagues. The heat is evidently on Pacquiao as the remaining weeks wear down and the real action now resumes at the Freddie’s Los Angeles chapel of Gloves, The Wild Card Gym.
It is here that pugilistic prayers are decreed and answers are given. It is the Temple that Manny requires to rejuvenate and balance the remainder of the time that exists to prepare for the wages of a win and exorcise any rages of sin. Focus, baby, focus.
The stories that scream out of internet pages cannot compare to the truth which a camera and a microphone can command when it comes to chronicling the debates, actions and traditions that exist prior to a professional fist fight.
We live in an age where literate reporting of definitions which illustrate a truthful portrait of life inside dramatic events is rare.
What has been seen and heard up until this moment suggests that the tumultuous events which have surrounded Manny Paquiao will not alter his instinctive perception of what he must do in order to command Miguel Cotto.
Keep it in the center of the square, move, throw the combos with heavy precision and open the wounds from which Miguel may never have recovered.
The true cross both men bear will soon be lifted for one and lowered upon the other.
          Cotto: Confident, comfortable, collected.
          Pacquiao: Defiant, diligent, dedicated.
In less than three weeks their paths shall allow for the true crossing.

Pacquiao only thing he have is speed, wait to see how ordinary he looks when Cotto neutralizes it!!
You are an idiot, how can you say that speed is the only thing pacquiao has. He has power as well. Are you not aware of his knockouts record? You nuts. Have you ever seen how he knocked out his opponents with one punch? Review the fights how Pacquiao ko'd sasakul, Lucero, Hatton, etc. The fact that his opponent kiss the canvass by a punch signifies power even if he was not counted out. How can a boxer be dropped by a punch if the punch has no power. Use your commonsense, don't just be deaf about his knock out record, unless you are deaf and no common sense, poor guy.

C'mon like 2 years ago Pac was commonly referred to as a crude brawler and now he is some kind of boxing master? Cotto has much, much more skill than he is being given credit for. The only advantage Pac really has is speed, endurance too probably but I doubt it will become a factor as we will most likely not see championship rounds.
