    Is Ring Magazine corrupt?

I'm pretty much talking about their rankings. Here's why:

    1) They have Mayweather at number two, even though he beat a lightweight and hasn't fought a natural or bigger opponent in more than two years.

    2) They have Mosley ahead of Mayweather in the welterweight rankings but not the P4P rankings.

    3) Israel Vazquez and Rafael Marquez had three great fights but are they still P4P worthy? The last good opponent they each fought were each other and that was about a year and a half ago.

    What do you think?

That's why I never really use Ring rankings.

I've boycotted The Ring Magazine and their so-called "championship" when De La Hoya bought the rag. I don't even look at their rankings anymore. They stink of corruption.

Though they've been corrupt for some time(remember the whole Don King debacle?) Though they still do write some good articles and subjective pieces on fighters, I do have to agree. Their rankings and biased opinions are best left to someone else.

These days, Pretty much anything-anywhere there is a lot of money to be made-involved, there is probably going to be corruption.

That was in the 70's and a lot of the people, if not involved, were long ago fired, etc.

For the most part I don't have a problem with their rankings.

As for Mayweather being #2, who cares? He was pound 4 pound #1 for years so naturally as soon as he came back he would be in the top 10, it's subjective anyways and there are a number of places that have Floyd #1 right now.
