nope.
cause floyd is a big dude himself and he proved he is a legit WW. pac never fought a real legit WW, just a 154 lber who killed himself to get under 147 and stay under 147 on fight night.
pac has no business at WW.
yeah, pac is better than jmm, but that doesn't mean pac has any business fighting cotto who will outweight pac by 10+ lbs.Comment

Dude, I didn't even say Cotto was scared of Williams, even though I think that to an extent. Wouldn't you at least agree that Floyd is though. When has Cotto ever said, "Who is Paul Williams" like Floyd has?Comment

Nobody is saying that Pac shouldn't be considered an elite Welter if he beats Cotto. What everybody is saying is Cotto needs to beat Pacquiao impressively to give us any hint that he deserves a fight with Floyd.
Ever since Cotto was the #1 challenger to Floyd's throne, I always thought it was blown out of proportion. Paul Williams should get a shot at Floyd instead, but we know that Floyd is legitimately scared of him, because Paul constantly bashes him and puts the heat on him for being a ducker. Cotto is another story.Comment

I'm hard pressed to say that pac establishes himself as an elite WW with a victory, since the fight is at 145 lbs and not 147 lbs. but still, pac gets more credit than cotto because he will be outweighed by 10+ lbs on fight night.
