I really don't see how he would be better competition, but that is your opinion. Manny is a great fighter, but he would be fighting Floyd at a higher weight. Cotto is a real WW and can box... believe it or not. Not just that but many think Cotto hits harder than Pac...and could be able to catch him with something. Who knows though...Pac's movement might be hard for May...doubt it though.

How is Floyd ducking Cotto when it was Arum who said that he doesn't want to put his fighter in the ring with a business man after Cotto beat Mosley? I guarantee you if Cotto beats Pacquiao, Arum will have him go in an opposite direction of Floyd.

Now Floyd saying things like Cotto needs to become his own boss and that he would retire from boxing and not let boxing retire him needs to be taken into consideration too. But if you think either one of these guys have ducked each other, then you are biased toward one fighter and have an agenda. They are both at fault for the fight not happening. I've said that until I'm blue in the face.

Ch@mp, I want Pacquiao to win because it's bigger for the sport and I could see Pacquiao beating Mayweather. Now, I wouldn't mind seeing Cotto win, only so you could see how easily Mayweather handles him. I'm not trying to be an ******* but that's how I really feel. Watch Ch@mp edit my post.

what? i always give cotto his props when he deserves it. I even say cotto can beat margo in a rematch and the margo beating cotto didn't take anything away from cotto. I even have cotto beating pac in this fight!

if floyd doesn't get credit for beating jmm, cotto doesn't get full credit for beating pac.

Marquez had what, one fight maybe two fights above 130? Pacquaio has been fighting above that weight for a while now. Not to mention Marquez really will never fill out to a 147lb frame. Pac has filled out rather nice, especially at 140(fights only 5 pounds above that). Not to mention as much as I hate to say it, Pacquaio is just simply better than Juan. Its a different situation imo.

If Cotto beats him he should be given full credit, because like Cotto said: "It's a guy coming up to challenge for my title". Also It's not like Cotto hasn't fought the best at WW. Fact...no one since Oscar has had a better resume at 147 and the only guys left for cotto at this moment are Floyd, Pwilliams, and Berto. The first two are tied up and Cotto will eventually get Berto's ass. So seeing how he has fought the best at 147 already, him facing and beating Pac will be another feather in his cap.

You just answered your question. Pacquiao is a JWW not a WW. Thank you. Cotto will get credit if he beats pacquiao but NOT amazing-crazy-off-the-wall-credit if you know what I mean.

And the reason I say controversially at 140 is because Hatton was not the best fighter in that division even though he was champ.
Just by reading a few of your posts you can really tell how much you hate Miguel. Saying beating Kelly Pavlik would look better than beating Pacqauio is pretty laughable.
