i don't recall anybody landing those uppercuts like margarito did. they were going right into cotto's face when he bent over. that alone could explain the busted up lips and nose.

in the later rounds.... notice how margaritos punches were badly hurting cotto everytime it comes in contact with the target..... but if you look closer... you'll see those punches were being thrown with no real power behind it.... it looks as if he was only tapping , but it definitely made cotto's face a bloody mess. must be a knife inside those gloves instead of bricks....

yeah his punches looked to have nothing on them yet they were doing alot of damage. them wraps were loaded 4 sure.

Mad I think you are 100% right, I understand if you are a boxing fan and are upset about someone cheating, and since we know that Margarito got caught against Mosley then that should be the point of contention and reference for all those proposing that he get banned or penalized. Instead, we have people implying that Cotto's loss is solely the result of some assumed action, it is almost like some people are hoping that this is the reason he loss and they are trying to convince themselves more than anyone.

I am a big Cotto fan, I believe he is one of the greatest fighters to come out of Puerto Rico and i love watching him fight, he is honorable and has admitted that he could have hugged but that is not "his way"(if cotto wasn’t from PR he would be from Los Mochis Sinaloa), IMHO that made the difference in the fight, Cotto threw a lot of combinations but he never really settled into his punches like Mosley did.

Also, where are Clottey fans or Cintron fans with their evidence?
I believe that most of the people concerned with this issue are going to abandon Cotto if he loses to Pac( which I dont believe is going to happen) and if he wins then im sure Bob will make it happen to settle it once and for all, until then, lets enjoy "Cotto the Fighter" and forget "Cotto the Boriqua who was supposed to give everyone a new PR idol because he is undefeated and would have gone down as a saint next to St trinidad but who was ko'd by a guy how got caught cheating in a fight with another guy and we are going to challenge and hyper focus on just one of Margarito's past fights because it was against our new Idol."

I'm not saying Cotto didn't lose the fight and he definately had the wrong gameplan. But look at his face it does not look right. Thats all I'm saying.

I would believe that, if it weren't for the fact that most of the damage done to Cotto was early, he got cut over the eye in the 2nd round and his nose was already bleeding early on. He faced someone who punches aren't as hard as they are abundant. I've said this before, If Margs hands were plastered that night Cotto should be dead, cause he got hit some 200+ times in the face with power punches.

If margarito had plaster in his gloves cotto would have been knocked the *** out! Cotto wouldn't have been able to take two ***** knees and quit. I would agree with that if he had actually used the wraps, but he was caught trying to cheat and stopped, he was suspended and will never be allowed to
do something like that again. that's why officials are there in the first place, to make sure things like this don't happen.

He did it all with plaster of paris. Yes the plaster was already hard, but then got even harder. Cotto would've come straight at Margarito if not for the plaster and would've hurt him more and more instead of weakening more and more.

The only reason Margarito hit the body was while he saved time for the plaster to be as hard as a brick wall. But he got caught putting on the same old dirty, bloody handwraps he used against Cotto. Thats why they were already very hard.
