notice how margaritos punches were badly hurting cotto everytime it comes in contact with the target.....

but if you look closer... you'll see those punches were being thrown with no real power behind it.... it looks as if he was only tapping , but it definitely made cotto's face a bloody mess.

He means in the later rounds, where they were softer, and cutting Cotto's face so badly. They were definatly softer.
