I would believe that, if it weren't for the fact that most of the damage done to Cotto was early, he got cut over the eye in the 2nd round and his nose was already bleeding early on. He faced someone who punches aren't as hard as they are abundant. I've said this before, If Margs hands were plastered that night Cotto should be dead, cause he got hit some 200+ times in the face with power punches.

to me this video is proof enough, the dude on the left of his trainer is asking him hows the punch in a smart ass tone kindda like he set it up then his trainer says forget the "punch" just dont get over confident...

you have to realize pegada means the actual strenght behind a shot i just dont know the literal translation to english and used "punch" that being said you be the judge

but if you look closer... you'll see those punches were being thrown with no real power behind it.... it looks as if he was only tapping , but it definitely made cotto's face a bloody mess.

cotto admitted that he was gased by the 6th. that could be why those "taps" where ****in cotto up. poor defense + 6 round stamina = quit on your knees and wait for cum on the face.

My point exactly, wether you'd like to think he cheated in this fight or not, stylistically Cotto loses this fight 9/10.

He did it all with plaster of paris. Yes the plaster was already hard, but then got even harder. Cotto would've come straight at Margarito if not for the plaster and would've hurt him more and more instead of weakening more and more.

The only reason Margarito hit the body was while he saved time for the plaster to be as hard as a brick wall. But he got caught putting on the same old dirty, bloody handwraps he used against Cotto. Thats why they were already very hard.
