    Pacquiao/Cotto 24/7

In terms of sheer entertainment value on 24/7, neither Cotto nor Pacquiao hold a candle to Floyd Mayweather Jr. He constantly seeks to entertain and is a naturally funny man. I know a lot of people will continue to disparage him regardless of how he behaves or peforms in the ring, either because they are covert racists or because they simply don't understand/can't appreciate a boxing genius. People love to hate Floyd, but there's no escaping the fact he is the most talked about and most hotly debated boxer on the planet. This is because of his awesome boxing skills and larger than life personality. Pacquiao and Cotto are fairly likeable guys, but in terms of charisma, they are sorely lacking and the results can be clearly seen on the 24/7 series.

    Favourite boxers of all time

    1)Floyd Mayweather Jr
    2)Bernard Hopkins
    3)Roy Jones Jr
    4)Jermain Taylor
    5)Marco Antonio Barrera

The problem is I think they should speak in their own language with subtitles on. This way we could here the confidence in their voice and hear their real personality. When both of them speak English we here studdering and slowness in their speech. This makes them appear boring. I think the next episodes will be much more entertaining. Hopefully, they will go into their careers more and their strategy.

This 1st episode can be rated as a B in my opinion.

From Cotto's side, we basically saw what we already know and for those who qualify Cotto's participation as boring, well he is just being himself. He is a reserved person that is fully focusing for the fight and always speaks with respect towards his opponents. There are no current controversy inside his camp (besides El Gato). HBO crew will have to find a way to create something special on Cotto's side, probably an interview with his uncle and what he thinks about Cotto now. However they left the expectation for seeing on the next episode Cotto the family man which has not been seen in public and which might contrast from this serious, dedicated, bloody warrior in the ring.

From Pacman side, the storm took over the episode. I was also surprised to find out that an athlete like Pacman, did not know how to swim very well. However towards the end, HBO crew brought up the disagreements between Ariza-Konz and then followed it with the disputes and disagreements about moving training camp between Pacman-Roach. This is a total contrast of how Cotto's camp where getting along and actually enjoying themselves. I liked how they scheduled that towards the end of the episode, also leaving it as continuation to the next episode kind of making you feel that the next episode will be better than the 1st.

On the shooting, I like how the crew filmed Cotto's camp walking in slow motion into the gym. It seem like those movies that we see special forces walking into an Airplane hangar getting ready for their next assignment, obvioulsy we are brought back to reality once we see Cotto's 300+ friend which we all know won't be able to be on any special forces unless he's the computer freak. Some of the storm shooting was pretty impressive and sad also. My best wishes to those affected in the Phillippine by the storm and hopefully they will restore their normal lives ASAP.

So Floyd is somewhat more likely a Celebrity than a Boxer?

Good episode nothing new that we didn't already now with all the news comming out the Pac camp. The fat guy of the Cotto camp had me laughing everytime he showed up.

I agree... to a degree. IMO, Mayweather/Hatton 24/7 is still the best of the lot. It had the advantage of boasting two TV-friendly personalities and still being a relatively fresh concept.

It was mentioned in another thread, but with Pacquiao and Cotto, what's going on around them will always be far more interesting than what's going on with them, if that makes sense.
