You should probably let the guys at HBO know that you can do their job better than they can.

Here is how they describe 24/7 (from their own website):

Making his third '24/7" appearance, Pacquiao is expected to surround himself with a familiar contingent of family and friends as he trains with trusted longtime associate Freddy Roach. HBO reality series newcomer Cotto, who never ducks a challenge, is taking on his biggest fight yet with trainer Joe Santiago as they seek to set a strategy to unseat the widely regarded pound-for-pound champ.

    I'm just saying.

    • And don't worry about the future episodes, there's plenty of time for Pac to do karaoke with his wife again, and sit and eat chicken with Buboy lol!!!!!!!!

          So would you compare 24/7 to Reality shows like;
          Real and Chance
          I love New York 1,2, and 3
          Megans want a millionares??

24/7 is for a sport not for drama.

Still a reality show, only under a different genre.

You couldnt be more wrong. It is for drama, drama that will intruige you til the point where if you wernt sold on purchasing the fight then you will be by the last episode. Thats the point of 24/7 create a storywith the final chapter being the fight. How many times have you read and entire book except the last chapter? If they can get a casual fan or non fan to watch all4 episodes, the chances of him/her buying the fight are much better than them just purchasing it when they have no clue about whos fighting and anything about them. It isnt like the reality shows you mentioned in the sense 24/7 is not a competition culminating in a a single winner from a group of contestants. But is is the same in the sense each episode builds on the last, and is suppose to make you look forward to the next.

              • I thought Calzaghe/Jones 24/7 was the worst of the lot, personally. I think it was the only one that was 3 eps instead of 4, and nearly every second of it still felt forced and stretched out.

You would order the fight with or without a 24/7. You are a hardcore fan. The show is targeted to the casual or non-fan. And they aren't interested in seeing Pac spar with Porter or Antillon. They want to see drama, controversy and excitement.

When Floyd and Ricky were going at each other, that made for a "hype-y" 24/7. Marquez' dietary habits caused a stir. That is what gets the non-fan talking.

..and as a fan, you should WANT to get this 24/7 as hyped as possible. That brings more fans to the sport. More fans to the sport means more boxing on TV. Even free Tv.

                  Get it?
Ignoring what is entertaining to each individual/person, the purpose of 24/7 is to get non-hardcore fans to buy this fight right?

So, since there are no big personalities in this, they should sell "THE FIGHT", not the fighters. In Hatton-Mayweather and Delahoya-Mayweather, they sold their personalities, the Antagonism of Money Mayweather Etc,.

For this event, they should sell how great this fight is gonna be. Have Larry Merchant, Angeloo Dundee, Max Kellerman and a variety of other experts on camera telling us (The Viewers) of how great this fight will be. What a War it potentially could be between two great fighters. THAT SHOULD BE THE PITCH to the curious mind. (Btw, I like the segment where Kellerman had both the fighters sitting looking each other, they should add that.)

If the fight ends up being boring or not living up to it's hype, so be it.

Co-sign. This one is a close second though.
