I've been following this story because Paul is one of my favorite fighters out right now. My first reaction was also that Pavlik is avoiding Paul and it sounds like most everyone else reacted the same. But why? Is Paul Williams that bad ass? If it were some lower level opponent I believe his story would be accepted. I think people want it to be the case that he's running scared from Paul because it sounds more dramatic. I really wanted this fight so Paul could finally start getting some real recognition for beating KP, which I think he would. Unfortunately, I think that KP is just having some terrible luck. I just doesn't make any sense to let it go this far and then turn and run. It would have been much easier to make excuses before the deal was finalized. Besides, I don't think KP is that afraid of Paul. He's a strong guy and plenty big enough and Paul's no outright monster. You've go to always compare probability versus possibility. It's possible that's he's running scared but I don't see that it's very probable, especially with it making look so bad. It's contradictory: he doesn't want to suffer a loss and end up looking bad and tarnish his career so he runs from Paul and it makes him look bad and tarnishes his career.

Taylor was overhyped by HBO in his career,well before the Hopkins title fights!Kelly wasn't.Taylor and Kelly both are goods fighters.Not great of course.
