Victor Ortiz didn't want to live boxing. He didn't have what it takes to become a champ. He had the skills, but not the drive. Cotto sustained worse damage than Ortiz did during his fight with Clottey fight and ended up winning on heart. That's the difference between the two. Cotto lives and breathes boxing. Ortiz didn't know if he was ready to dedicate his life to Boxing yet and therefore couldn't dig deep enough to keep going. I respect his decision and he might need to think about leaving the sport and following a different path.

It wasn't so much of his style of fighting, but rather his horseplay in the ring. The way he toyed with fighters was enjoyable to watch. I can't find any reason why someone would say he wasn't exciting.

I agree, people need to come to terms with the fact that different people have different styles, and Boxing is a sport with tactics, which should be respected.

The Rocky films aren't real, yeah they give you adrenaline and are cool to watch, yeah it helped raise the profile of Boxing but it still isn't real. If you are trying to criticise somebodies style by comparing them to the Rocky movies then that's just ******.

it depends on the opponent. example, floyd vs jmm, you dont have to potshot all night long in that fight from rnd 1 to 12.
