ward is green, but from what ive seen from him hes ten times more skilled than kessler who is very overrated imo. i dont see anything special in him, he does hit hard though so i guess he has a chance. but i still pick ward to outclass him.

Calzaghe posted the blue print to beating Kessler, it's there now for Ward to use. Footwork, staying out of range and holding is the way to go.

Ward is the real deal to me, he just needs more ring experience which could be key in this fight. Kessler really only has a few advantages on Ward imo which are chin, power and experience. It's the classic boxing test that we have seen many a time where the new prospect with all the skills faces the more experienced ring master who's been there so many times before. It's just whether he can keep his nerve and concentrate for the full 12. Dirrell managed it, albeit against a lesser fighter, but it still shows that it can be done.

                Nope.

He's going to lose against Kessler .

Ward has a questionable chin combined with an over reliance on his handspeed. He's not fought any fighter with timing yet and this will be the reason he gets hit all night by Kessler.

I honestly think the key to beating Kessler is out-boxing him from the outside, because he doesn't seem to be able to do a hell of a lot to stop it if you're able to get your jab in before him.

Unfortunately for 99% of fighters, getting your jab in before him is impossible.

It's either a Ward decision or a Kessler KO imo.

Andre Ward couldn't get a tougher fight than this. Don't get me wrong I like Ward, he's a very talented boxer and seems like a nice down to earth guy so I wish him all the best, but at the end of the day he is still very green. So far he hasn't even fought a top 10 fighter (No, Miranda is not top 10) so it's impossible to know how good he is.

Kessler is a proven worldclass boxer and many people think Kessler is the best boxer in the SMW division, so this is a HUGE step up in class for Ward. I don't expect Ward to win but this fight will give us some answers how good Ward is and what he can possibly do in the future.

Take away the Calzaghe fight, and focus on Kessler wins. Remember that Kessler hasn't lost but a handful of rounds in his career. He hasn't been challenge in any of his fights. "IF" Ward were to win I take my hat off to him cause then he is obviously "The real deal".....It would be a huge statement, a major upset. And I would make him the favorite to win Super 6.

I give y'all credit for going out on a limb with your prediction that Andre Ward will be victorious, But what do you base them on??? I mean I find it strange that so many fans pick Ward to win even though he hasn't really fought anyone?

If it's not wishful thinking then please break down the fight and tell me how Ward's gameplan is going to look like in order to win. (I'm really curious)
Off topic, Rosa Acosta is probably the hottest chick on this planet at the moment.

Back on topic, I expect great things from Andre Ward. I like how they moved him, bringing him back to Oakland for local fights and taking the pressure off of him and building him up gradually instead of just throwing him into big fights off the bat.

Ward I feel is mature enough now to capitalize on this exposure and will emerge a legitimate star, if not necessarily the champion of this tournament.
