I thiink if he weighs over 147 pac shouldn't do it anyway. it would be an obviously planned advantage fo r cotto.
If cottos overweight and the fight was cancelled...

Cotto has never weighed over 147, so any worries are unnecessary. Roach has already said he could weigh 147 if he pays a fine, so it's impossible that Cotto would come in over 147 unless he's much, much richer (and more scared of Pac) than I give him credit for.Comment

does he still have to pay up 3 million? this is also a general question that applies to all boxers that had their fight cancelled.
"Our limit for Cotto is just 147 lb [if he’s overweight],” Roach said. “There’s no fight if he weighs beyond that. Cotto will be assessed a $1-million penalty for every pound overweight.”
I bet cotto will weigh in at 146 1/2 the first try then come back later & make 146 even. He wont ever make 145.
146 will be the final weigh in, pac will sign off, then cotto will come in 160 on fight night while pac will come in at 148 fight night. welterweight vs middleweight.
makes the achievement even better if pac somehow wins.Comment
