If cottos overweight and the fight was cancelled...

does he still have to pay up 3 million? this is also a general question that applies to all boxers that had their fight cancelled.

"Our limit for Cotto is just 147 lb [if he’s overweight],” Roach said. “There’s no fight if he weighs beyond that. Cotto will be assessed a $1-million penalty for every pound overweight.”

Yea he would. The other fighter who weighs in properly has the decision whether to still go thru wit the fight or not. But the offendin fighter has to pay the fine.

Pacquiao would probably go ahead with the fight, He wouldnt want to disappoint the fans by calling it off

this would be cottos fault not pacs. and to fight or not is not mannys call, its roachadamus'. Pac cannot fight without roach in his corner.

Why wasn't this fight at 147? How much was Cotto compensated for this fight being at 145 and putting his belt on the line even though the belts suppose to be at 147.

I think there’s too much money at stake for that to happen despite the disappointment and raised eyebrows. Though the fine would be paid and I think Manny would fight on out of fear to disappoint his fans as another poster stated.

                  Peace.

If it would get cancelled then PAc would be labeled a *****.
JMM still fought PBF even though he came in overweight so i dont see why there should be a double standard here.
