We are too harsh towards usyk

He fought a huge awkward guy, who is not even a boxer, but he is a kickboxer. Usyk is 39 old, he clearly overlooked the guy, but at the end of the day he won by a stoppage.

Usyk will be in shape against Kabayel.

In shape may no longer be as good as before

Oleksandr took a lot of punishment from a giant

those clean right hands and body shots are taxing on his bordering 40 body

No, we are not. Taking criticism is a must just as when you take praising and decisions in rigged fights.

Rico is 37, with a large number of fights and punishment throughout.

That's the thing: Rico is not a boxer.

I find it highly unrealistic that Usyk took this fight lightly.
It’s one of the biggest events of his career.
He always has the discipline, and trains properly for every fight. Adding wgt was prob also part of his strategy.

He just couldn’t figure out Rico. He struggled finding the right distance. He ate a big right in the 2nd round, which made him more cautious. He also looked confused on the inside. Rico to his credit was better than we thought. But he had a pretty basic approach. It wasn’t like he was physically overpowering or exceptionally quick and athletic.

Usyk couldn’t adjust and adapt vs a 1-0 guy. You can’t consider anyone with those kinds of issues as the king of boxing. I think his stock goes way down.

Fury was given NO QUARTER when he had his brain fart vs Ngannou

Time for Usyk to take his licks

There is a difference that Fury genuinely might have lost that fight and was put on his back. Usyk KO’d Rico.
BTW, Rico would annihilate Ngannou in a boxing ring.

Well no, fury didn't lose he outlanded Ngannou in almost every round, Usyk lost 10 out of 11 rounds and did not "KO" rico, the ref jumped in and ended the fight to save Usyk at the FIRST possible opportunity.

No. The first available opportunity was when Rico went down with his head between the ropes. The ref let him spit the mouthpiece to chew time instead of calling time out. He let Rico get up and saw that he was defenceless in the follow up. The minute in the corner wouldnt have saved him. Usyk would.....if not knocking him out...would have at least dropped him more than once in the final round. Fury said it best when he said Rico put up a great fight but just ran out of energy.

No, he did not lost 10 out of 11 rounds, lol (even if you want to go with the stats it was close).
As for the ref “saving” Usyk.. why did he let Rico take 30 secs to find his mouthpiece and survive after the first KD?
Do you think if Rico was allowed to enter the 12th round he would last the end? You disagree with Peter Fury that said he was done at that point?

As for Fury, I had him winning, but it was razor close, and Ngannou put him on his back. I could see the argument for Ngannou winning. We saw Ngannou level when he faced AJ.

Sorry cannot take you seriously when you say Usyk lost all the rounds - you don’t like Usyk, that’s fine, but you need to be more measured. Even Rico himself said that he thought it was close / level at the time of the stoppage.

He's getting old. His feet are slowing.

Some fighters have a steady decline, some have a quick decline. Usyk is closer to the latter.

He may well beat the slightly overrated (but still good) Kabayel but he needs to be looking for the exit soon.

It is what it is. Eras end. Usyk, Fury, AJ are all varying stages of decline and none of them will be an active fighter in two years time, and if they are, they'll all be cannon fodder for younger fighters. That's the way it goes.

That's sport, everyone has a limited shelf life.
