I hope Vergil continues to take "L"s concerning this. The man signed a contract, got greedy listening to outside influence, wanted to get out. That's not how contracts work. He should have fulfilled his obligations, then become a free man.

Oscar should be in the driver seat here in every way since the contract was signed and stands. Vergil needs to provide some kind of evidence as to why he needs to break out of the contract which just about anything he says will probably be shot down.

Does someone know how much Zayas or Ennis took for their match?

In this age where Benn gets 15 mil for shot Prograis, 3 mil is a moral breaker. Can you imagine walking into the fight mad about the money? Your own treat you the worst, especially when you might shade thier acheivements.

Would be st*pid to think that way. The 15 million Benn apparently got for 1 fight are first of all highly doubted by almost any expert including insiders like Hearn and secondly it's a pure loss and move that has nothing to do with the value of the fighter. Ortiz should only make sure of one thing how much does the fight with Ennis generate and what percentage do i get.

3 Million sounds about right maybe a bit low but at the moment i would say both fighters getting maximum 5 Millions would be possible without everyone else making a financial loss.

The funny part is that Zuffa is trying to lure these fighters in and break contracts but TKO/UFC are famous for tieying up their fighters in long term contracts not even depending on the money they bring in. Some fighters get offers from outside Organizations to fight for 5-10 Millions but ithey stuck for 4-5 more fights earning 500K per fight.

Thats why Dana White hates Ngannou more than anyone else this guy fought out of his slave contract did not renew and left as the HW Champ to go and make more money than any other UFC fighter ever excluding Mcgregor.

Nothing like calling someone else ****** to prove a point. Anyway, 3 million sounds like a promoter not concerned with Ortiz' best interests. The Benn story is true until it isn't. The written word is all I have, but if that's the case. Why not say they are paying Ortiz 15 mil and give him less? That doesn't work.

                This is a mess.

Ortiz may waste years of his career depending how long this debacle continues.

I complain about Eddy but DLH is sounding petty here. Ortiz has a chance to make 16 mil but DLH says he has a contract for 3 mil. Now nobody is getting paid but the lawyers and judge. His contract isn't worth a biscuit. Let Ortiz wet his beak, do an outside job for a fee. 3 mil and an extra mil for damage insurance. That leaves Ortiz with 11 mil.
