Didn't call you st*pid i meant if Ortiz would think that way the way you described it, it would be st*pid of him. Him walking into a fight distracted because some pawn on a chess board apparently got more than he deserved would be extremely r*tarded of him.

Excuse me for misunderstanding. I just think DLH is not acting like a promoter when money gets left on the table. Regardless of Benn, Ortiz claims he stands to make 16 mil at a minimum. That is a 12 mil spread. To me, Im not a lawyer, it sounds like a breach of contract by DLH as a fiduciary agent.

16 minimum is interesting, I would've assumed maybe 10 minimum given the excitement at the time. Unless they where betting on a Riyadh season event. Also, thee Benn money (alleged 15M) is probably an 'alternative fact' used as a weapon in a bigger battle..

Not taking sides in this Oscar vs Ortiz insanity. I didn't read up on the facts and don't care to do so.

That said, there's a disturbing pattern with promotors. Going after each other and boxers on social media like teenagers running for school president ?! This leaves them open to the real sharks and boxing will stay the way it's been for over 100 years now lol.

he made 500k to fight lubin. he wasnt complaining then. when hes offered a career high 3 million to fight ennis he starts complaining about his pay. yeah he will probably lose and he knows it, he wants to leave golden boy, lock in that big money and then start taking big risks. cant blame him too much but he knew he wasnt fighting no lubin

Oscar should be in the driver seat here in every way since the contract was signed and stands. Vergil needs to provide some kind of evidence as to why he needs to break out of the contract which just about anything he says will probably be shot down.
Yes, that's pretty much how I see it too. I'm no great fan of how De La Hoya conducts himself as both a person and promoter BUT Ortiz signed a contract that he must have been happy with. He needs to honour it or prove how Golden Boy have breached it's terms to his detriment.

There is one such clown here who believes Ortiz is the second coming of Jesus of Nazareth. Ortiz made $500k fighting Lubin while Boots made $3 million fighting Karen and the same amount fighting Avanesyan.
When Boots stepped up to their idol in the ring, Ortiz's dad said "this ship has sailed" meaning they were willing to leave a potential $5 million pay day on the table. Their dream fight was Spence.
The guy lurks behind the shadows but he will show up. You've probably seen his posts.

                    im not buying this

first of all oscar tried to protect ortiz by avoiding the boots fight altogether which resulted in ortiz coming out with statements that no hold on i want the boots fight what is oscar doing, then instead of telling oscar to make the fight he wants out of his contract when im sure another offer was there, well thats not how contracts work, oscar has done very well for ortiz lets not forget up until than

plus i believe ortiz woudl have got mroe than 3 mil for the boots fight as it would have been ppv im sure so he would have go the proceeds out of that, the fight was generating interest so thats all BS as well

ortiz is looking like a right punk from all of this, disrespectful of a promoter who has done great for him and was only trying to protect him from boots and make more money for him as well, ortiz could have fought boot all he had to do was agree to the fight, all this benn nonsense comparision, benn and eubank are totally different with turki involved as well, everyone knew this fight wasnt happening, ortiz bailed from the fight and now he wants to bail from his promoter as well, ok fair enough but enough of your tough talk

What about 2024 when Boots said no? That wasn't a duck? The thing is it's about the used car salesman vs another blood sucker. Eddy looking to meddle and Oscar trying to make a killing. Boots and Virgil would fight in a dark ally
