At their Peak, Regis Prograis and Josh Taylor were disseminating the competition, absolute destroyers. Seemingly invincible, they didn't wait for anyone to slip or fight the old men circuit they fought one another at the peak of their powers because they dared to be great. There is no denying it cost them both, neither were the same after that fight.

Regis is a great guy, honest, humble and like Shawn Porter a dedicated family man. I hope he spends his time with his family and people that actually actually care about him because you can't get that time back.

From a long time fan of the sport.....thanks for everything and be well in life's next chapter.

I say the same. Both guys left something behind in that fight.

I am a fam of this guy. A top class fighter who never ducked anyone. His career is a good one, a respectable one. Hope he stays retired.

I may be crazy, but I could see him as a trainer. Maybe not world class, top level one. But a good trainer to get talented young boxers fighting smart.

Respect to Prograis, and he has a story to tell from his Katrina days and his move to Houston. I hope he can gain some form of income after boxing. I do wish he and other boxers could have one last fight in their hometown against a low-level contender to go out on a win by. But that could plant a seed to contunue and that would not be a good thing.

Kind of reminds me of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Regis learned on the job and willed his way to the very top and became a champion like Giannis. No one can ever take that away from him.

Im not sure Conner is as good as Regis says from a fans point of view. I think Regis' opinion has to do with his decline. It feels like it does for the same reason Regis legs and snap are gone. In my opinion, if you look at the damage done, Jojo looked better than Conner and Jojo is smaller.

Enormous respect for Regis, not just for his boxing skills, which were exceptional, but because he is intelligent, erudite & interesting. I hope he will find work as a commentator on boxing. I'm also respectful that, from the inside, he says Haney had the best skills but Taylor was the best all-round fighter he met. I would've loved to see the best Taylor v Haney. Saying Conor was the hardest puncher is slightly stating the obvious because he fought every other opponent at 140, & I guess they may have entered the ring as much as 150-155, & he fought Benn at 150 & Conor would've entered the ring at, at least 160-165 So, obviously, he had the most strength & power because he just was much bigger.

Always thought he was a cool dude, in and out of the ring. I'd like to see what he could bring to commentary, being a bit of a motormouth like Malignaggi.
