Not yet, but he likely will be. Sooner the better so the division can move on instead of waiting until he fights for the Zuffa belt like they did with Opetaia.
Zuffa doesn’t “recognize” 140 or 168, but I’m curious to see if they make exceptions for them or if Hitchins & Berlanga move to 147 & 175

If they start "making exceptions" it defeats the whole purpose of what they're supposedly trying to do.

I don’t think they should, but wouldn’t shock me if they do.
Exception was probably the wrong word, but Zuffa fighters are able to fight on Turki / Ring cards, so if they can get a big fight for Hitchins (doubtful) I could see him at 140 in his next fight. I expect Berlanga to be pushed towards the Zuffa LHW title though

I suspect Dana and Turki to fall out imminently.

Can't see it working, Dana wants to make boxing into the UFC model whereas it doesn't seem Turki, who happens to be the funder of the whole thing, wants the same.Comment

Good move for Bumlanga. He really has no reason to be getting opportunities anymore. He was never anything, talked his way into a mega fight vs Canelo. Thought he was hot **** for losing a decision to Canelo and then talked crazy smack to Hamzah to take a brutal loss to the guy. I don't see any value in Edgar anymore. His big mouth doesn't work and he really wasn't anything to begin with beyond some overhyped 1st rd KOs early on.
This signing is clearly a last ditch effort to stay relevant in an otherwise worthless career he's had.Comment
