As someone who bought the PPV with a group of friends, I can say "people" love to say all kinds of things that are "supposed" to happen in sports. The 1980 US hockey team that was comprised of kids basically out of College was not supposed to be competitive against grown men that had played together for years. The undefeated 2007 Patriots were not supposed to lose to the unworthy NY Giants, and the Greatest Show on Turf 2001 St. Louis Rams were definitely not going to lose to the unworthy Patriots. People just "know" al kinds of things about life and sports until they happen.

The Prince could have been all Tyson-like focused and trained his ass off with Ali type obsession, but there was no way his style was beating Berrera. Marco and his team had cracked the Hamed code, using simple movement to offset Hamed's explosive, unpredictable "offense at any cost" style. Barrera was focused, unintimidated, and dialed in. He got better as the fight went on. They could have had a best of seven tournament, and it would have been over in a sweep. Hamed was a fun fighter who I think gets unfairly criticized for one fight, but he never improved a thing. He got beat by a talented, all time great who improved on his weaknesses throughout his career. Hamed was a 1 trick pony who got figured out and had zero answers. It was not sad. It was revealing. That is why they play the game.....

hameds coach was at fault for demanding so much of his pay he wanted a large split and as hameds pay increased turned into a greedy split, he split up the successful team and lowered hameds chances in harder fights i would say is a fair statement

People enjoyed his circus act, but he was never very good.

The sense of satisfaction I got when MAB won is only comparable to the feeling I got when Maidana beat AB. I also remember thinking when 9/11 happened that there was no way that HBO would sponsor a comeback for someone of his religion at that time.

Prince Naseem Hamed was clearly not in the best condition, but? That was his own fault, and Marco Antonio Barrera definitively deserved the win'.

But I think over the years? This lost on Prince Naseem Hamed's record has been over exaggerated 'even now with the title of this article it is being over exaggerated'.

Prince Naseem Hamed was not clowned; he was just beaten by a better prepared fighter in Barrera 'that is it'.

Note: In my opinion Prince Naseem Hamed was still a better fighter than Marco Antonio Barrera 'seriously? If this was the worst and only lost on Hamed's resume, then people all need to be honest. It was not a bad loss'.

Prince Naseem Hamed went 12 rounds against Marco Antonio Barrera 'he was neither beaten up or ever on the verge of being stopped'.

But for some reason, certain folk within the boxing community over exaggerated the win 'maybe they had all be waiting for this moment, and witnessed Prince Naseem Hamed smash up many other top level fighters in his career'.

To conclude: Overall, I think historically the win for Marco Antonio Barrera is overrated 'similar to how Tyson Fury's win his overrated vs. Wladimir Kiltschko'.

Prince Naseem Hamed still retired as a World Champion, after wining against Manuel Calvo 'Marco Antonio Barrera did not retire as a World Champion, and he did suffered extremely bas loses to Amir Khan'.

Yes Barrera was miles outside of his peak, I am just contrasting each fighters careers Marco Antonio Barrera was a great fighter 'But Prince Naseem Hamed was the better fighter, more talented, and overall in my opinion his career has made a bigger impact on the sport of boxing' etc.

One of my favorite ass whippings of all time. I don't have a problem with Naseem, but the thoroughness of the beating was just so entertaining.

is your reason for this because wladimir was aged 39 years of age?
