His right hand was legit. He don't have the legs or reflexes to deliver it anymore. He has no other skills so now he will be name in someone's resume.
Wilder`s huge power is a pure myth

He is older now too, most of the power was from the explosive speed he delivered it once he got the range right for it with that pawing jab.👍 2Comment

Get off the gas, he’s knocked out 44 dudes, most of em prob all over 200 pounds, what is he if he isn’t a knockout puncher.👍 1Comment

He does have power, even Zhang said it from when wilder was mean't to be punching less powerfully. It's the 83 inch reach and the speed he gets the right hand off at - anywhere near the temple or behind the ear and guys are in trouble.
wilder just appears to be one of those fighters who has a very low fighting IQ with poor fundamentals but also happens to have a redeeming quality being the right hand. Against a certain level of opposition he looks like a dangerous killer whereas against more technical & cerebral guy's he looks out of his depth and is unable to connect with his signature punch.Last edited by Elastic Recoilz; 04-06-2026, 05:46 PM.Comment

Also not very dynamic either in addition to having no real boxing skills, he has to be on the front foot between mid and long range for this to work. Against Parker he was backing up alot and his punches did nothing.👍 1Comment

The best guy he knocked out was Luis Ortiz
And Mike Tyson had the best of Luis Ortiz in the catskills in the late 1970s when Mike was a teenager and Ortiz was already almost 30
Those sparring wars with Mike really wore on Ortiz punch resistanceComment
