    Floyd Mayweather has been controlling his fights, terms, and image for years, he doesn’t just get pushed around by a contract like some rookie. If anything changes, it’s because he allows it, not because someone forced his hand.

    And bringing up Netflix like they run the show is hilarious. Platforms adjust, promote, and market based on what sells and Floyd still sells, whether you like it or not.
    It's not a "gotcha", it's just the reality of the situation. An exhibition is an exhibition, that's what he means when he says it. He means not a pro fight but an exhiition.

    As for the rest of the your post;

    Floyd had all the leverage then. Today he has none, because seemingly he needs the money.

    Floyd doesn't have that kind of power in the boxing world any more. You're living in an alternate reality if you think in 2026 Floyd has that kind of power.

    If he has signed a pro contract for this fight, then he's going to have to U-Turn on the Exhibition stuff because Netlfix and everyone else involved will take him to the cleaners. Not sure it was a smart move on his part.

      Floyd Mayweather “has no leverage”? That’s funny for someone who still has people debating him nonstop in 2026. Fighters with no power don’t stay this relevant, especially years after retiring. You don’t get this much attention without still having pull in the sport.

      And the “he needs money” angle? That’s been recycled for years and still hasn’t come true. Meanwhile, he keeps landing high-profile events, exhibitions, and deals on his own terms. That’s not desperation, that’s control.

      Big platforms don’t bully names like Floyd, they work with them because they know he brings attention and revenue.

      At this point, you’re not describing reality, you’re describing what you want to happen. And that gap between the two is pretty obvious.

        In this situation nah, he doesn't. If he's signed a contract, he has to honour it or he get's sued and he'll lose.

        It's not 2015 any more dude, it's 2026. Floyd is 50 years old and not relevant like that any more.

        It's pretty clear he's in need of money at this point in time.

        The IRS have just frozen his assets for unpaid taxes. He needs the money. He wouldn't be entertaining these kind of things if he didn't.

        Floyd has breached his contract. One that he's supposedly taken an advance on. That's the issue.

        Yeahhhh, nah.

        You're out of touch with reality totally, or just trolling. Probably the latter.
