You said "JP took a page out of the Mayweather playbook without requiring 45+ professional fights. Just make a lot of noise and pick on opponents that bring massive paychecks and little risk"

    That makes NO SENSE.
Man, you're dragging this on way too long. It was a simple concept. An American fighter that made tons of money in boxing and used a lot of talking and picking the proper dance partners to make his biggest paychecks. Mayweather said it himself that he wouldn't get into something he would lose (hence my signature quote). This has parallels to JP also picking on fights he more than likely would never lose. The only time he faced legit boxers, he lost.

With the little details whether they're perfectly comparable or not, who cares? He made crazy money like Mayweather and didn't have to become a multiple world champion in the sport or even really get that good.

Because your statement is non sensical and objectively wrong, that's why.

"JP took a page out of the Mayweather playbook without requiring 45+ professional fights. Just make a lot of noise and pick on opponents that bring massive paychecks and little risk"

This statement is objectively wrong. Mayweather beat ten #1 ranked opponents, Jake Paul beat 0 ranked opponents.

I.e your statement and comparison doesn't make sense.

It would make more sense if you made that statement and compared it to Tank Davis, someone who has made a lot of money fighting unranked opponents, like Jake Paul has done.

I was thinking about that, but I believe JP has entered Mayweather type of money with his recent fights. I could be wrong, but I know his AJ fight got him around 80 million or something around that. I don't think Tank has made anywhere near the type of money Mayweather or JP has made. Again, I was never really considering accomplishments because they're apples to oranges. Just mostly on persona and how much money they made.

The amount of money is irrelevant, what's relevant is the making high amounts of money whilst fighting unranked fighters.Tank has done that and Jake now has at a higher amount.

Mayweather didn't fight unranked fighters, he almost exclusively fought Top 5 ranked fighters for the vast majority of this career.
