I don't know who is more out of touch with reality, Jake Paul or Donald Trump. At least Trump is in the NJ Boxing Hall of Fame (look it up) whereas the only way Paul gets into a Boxing HOF is with a purchased ticket.

Makes zero sense what you're saying. The comparison doesn't work.

Mayweather got the that point of being able to make that kind of money because of what he did in the ring over a 20+ year time frame.

Mayweather's supposed "right opponents" were reigning world champion, Top 5 ranked fighters and P4P ranked fighters. Jake Paul doesn't even fight boxers 90% of the time.

I'm talking about the money. JP is making crazy paychecks that dwarf boxers who've worked their way up through the system. This is what I've been referring to the entire time. Of course JP doesn't have boxing accolades. He's a joke. Though when it comes to making money...

And... just like he's in the WWE hall of fame, you wonder just wtf for. Was it simply because he allowed a venue to host some fights? Yeah... quite a big deal. In fact, until this post, I've never once heard of or associated Trump to boxing. Just put it, Trump like's people propping him up for his ego. He did it to get in the Home Alone 2 movie, he's done it numerous times now with his 2nd term. He wants to be "known" all over the place, even if the actuality is that he did almost nothing.

Yeah I agree. Jake Paul sells because he's a celebrity with a massive following who boxes non boxers or unranked boxers and makes lots of money doing it.

That's why I'm not understanding the Mayweather comparison. It doesn't make sense. You're implying Mayweather and Jake Paul do the same thing when they couldn't be less alike in that regard.

Someone like Tank or Conor Benn would be a better comparison to Jake Paul. Or Adrien Broner before them, Fighters who fight unranked fighters and make a lot of money doing it.

I honestly don't think Tank, Conor or Adrien have made the kind of money JP has done with his recent fights. This is why I used Mayweather as a comparison. For a man known as "money", another dude just showed up into the sport and made crazy amounts without needing to work for it.

Well in that case then Jake Paul is just as comparable to Floyd as he is to Pacquaio and Canelo

Except he's nothing alike to any of those three so again the comparison doesn't make any sense.

There were quite a few big fights at the Atlantic City Trump Casino back on the day. He was a big supporter of boxing. That's why he's in the NJ HOF.

Neither of those guys go around show boating or calling themselves Money like Mayweather did. JP might not openly say he's money but he does do a lot of showboating with what he buys. Nor are those guys American. So for an American to follow another American in the amount of $$$ he did without having to work himself up the same way as the other American, I think they're comparable.

Ok and Jake Paul is white and Floyd is black. Jake Paul has blonde hair and Mayweather is bald. Jake Paul is in his 20's and Floyd is in his 40's. Jake Paul is from Ohio and Floyd is from Grand Rapids. None of what you've said above has anything to do with what you said.

You said "JP took a page out of the Mayweather playbook without requiring 45+ professional fights. Just make a lot of noise and pick on opponents that bring massive paychecks and little risk"

                      That makes NO SENSE.
