Fat Dave’s Dad Excuses Ready to Duck Buff Guy Jai

    Spray_resistantthe tables have turned

Dave’s dad has already brainstormed a multitude of excuses to duck Buff Guy Jai

this is rich because Fat Dave himself is also a flawed good fighter

I did predict that the Ducked Boogey would go to Buff Guy Jai from Fat Dave

Buff Guy Jai would be to Fat Dave what Top Soviet Bivol is to Saul Santos: THE MOPPER

A scene that seems timely and still fascinating is if David Benavidez was to take on another unification bout by meeting unbeaten Jai Opetaia of Australia later this year. Lance Pugmire explores the possibilities of this fight.

What I thought and what I saw is that Opetaia looked tired.

Fat Dave also slowed down in the final few rounds with Gvozdyk and Cuban Dave.

We want to fight the best … right now, I don’t think Opetaia has the experience yet,” Benavidez Snr said. “He’s fought a lot of fighters with no names and did what he was supposed to do against the, but when you put a veteran who knows how to survive in there with him, he couldn’t [stop him]. It tells me he’s not developing and not ready to fight the real champions.

Fat Dave didn’t stop OLD RUSTY veteran Gvozdyk nor Green Cuban Dave. Both took 4 rounds each.

I don’t think our fight would happen within a year because of everything that’s happening [with the belt dispute, and Zuffa Boxing expressing disinterest in working with the sanctioning bodies],” Benavidez Snr said. “Dana White doesn’t want to do anything with anybody, so I see [an Opetaia] fight as being very difficult until they get what they want.

Fat Dave’s dad doesn’t want to try to make this fight and is already gaslighting the fans.

We’ll fight with whoever. We’re fighters. My job is to make David the most money I can make as a manager,” Benavidez Snr said. “I can see the possibility of us fighting anyone after [May 2].

Indicating for Fat Dave that Buff Guy Jai is high risk, low reward.

But, at this point, the only way I see capable of making this fight [with Opetaia] is Turki Alalshikh. I hope everybody starts getting along and starts working with each other, because, for now, why would we want to fight for a Zuffa belt that has no credibility, no history? Are people going to recognize you?

When you fight for a belt that’s been recognized for many, many years, you start making millions.

What is Dave’s Dad talking about fans know that The Ring Title is the ‘real’ belt.

History has shown that moving up in weight to beat the real champ is great for recognition.

and just like that NOEL goes from a random to a man in demand

there's Noel if Buff Guy Jai doesn't get Fat Dave next

Noel would be a good first test the waters at cruiser fight for Top Soviet Bivol

Should he beat Fat Dave I think Fat Gilbert would face Buff Guy Jai later this year

Bena just outworks these guys and wins rounds but he don't have power at 175 he will have even less at 200

He def looks beatable these days.

Jai has a 2 inch reach advantage on David. His best bet is to use that and control the distance

Gvozdyk was 5 years past his prime and only fought 2 scrubs after authur, essentially retired

If that was prime Gvozdyk I think he could beat david

He is kind of easy to forget about, a pretty good fighter though doesn't do anything particularly great but solid all around, he could pull off an upset then Cruiser will just be what it normally is which is rando Euro guys who cruise to boring UDs.

I could see Fat Dave being feather fisted at cruiser

He’ll have to improve his jab, use more body shots to hurt opps, and depend on his hand speed

Fat Gilbert’s blubber is an incredible cushion for impact

Unlikely that Fat Dave transforms into a Super Swarmer given his meh footwork and stamina.

yes he has volume in the form of bursts of flurries punches in bunches

But it isn’t a sustained pressure fueled by endless stamina unlike Buff Guy Artur

Fat Dave slows down in the final few rounds

he should be fine as long as the opponent isn’t Top Soviet Bivol or Buff Guy Jai

best guy Fat Dave could beat would be Buff Guy Artur due to age

Fat Dave gets a grace period to face Jai. Needs to be done in 2027 if Fat Dave is still cruisering otherwise it a duck
