Not sure why there is so much negative opinion about this fight. I think this is going to be a great style matchup, and one the actually favors Thurman. Yes, he's old and inactive (the worst combination in boxing), but Thurman isn't close to being physically shot. Yes, his last couple fights have been against B and C- level fighters, but Thurman looked spry, sharp and confident in both (completely schooled current champ Barrios and then did what he should have done against Jarvis). Not many fighters have his ring IQ, command of range or fight with their eyes wide open in the pocket, so I think he's really going to give Fundora a surprise. In fact, I'm picking the upset. One Time by TKO8.

Is this real? Not mocking your post, just a legit question.
I always liked Thurman alright, but between injuries and layoffs never felt he reached that level of being a HOF- no long reign in one division, no plethora of big name W's (though a few good ones), no large collection of belts, no history of being avoided or controversial losses to justify the lacking resume.
He looked good with the eye test, but I never felt he looked HOF good. Is this the general feel that he is a HOFer?
As an aside, I don't know if the IBHOF is as watered down as some make it out to be, at least compared to other sports HOFs based in North America.Last edited by DeeMoney; 02-03-2026, 12:49 PM.Comment

Fair enough, I expect Thurman to get broken down and stopped but he'll have some opportunities here to wing some hard hooks with his whole body in them.👍 1Comment

In the case of 154 (and all "junior/super" divisions), there is no Zuffa competition at present as they are only going with the original weight classes. This is an example of why the promoter posturing over Zuffa is obviously self-interest. 154lbs is boxing's hottest division, all that's required is for the legit TBRB top ten to fight each other and it will make for compelling viewing. Instead we've started the year with a promoter legal drama to prevent one fight (Boots - Ortiz) and now this pointless fight to give an American hasbeen a payday is going to take up part of the beginning of the year (assuming neither gets injured again).Comment

Thurman's footwork is going to be the key to him winning this fight. That is what is going to get Fundora in awkward positions and then Keith will use his arsenal of punches (he has them all) to wreck Fundora to the body and head. But, with this opponent, Keith's killer uppercut is unlikely to play a big role due to the Towering Inferno's height. Not sure why there is so much negative opinion about this fight. I like Fundora. Seems like a good young man and he's fun to watch. Has a of skills too, in addition to his physical dimensions advantage at the weight class. But, I think Keith is too slick combined with having too much pop for Sebastian.👍 1Comment
