I thought Lester nicked the Mbilli fight; he took over the last few rounds, IIRC. He deserves a shot.

Terence Crawford calls for Lester Martinez to get title shot, after turning down the Canelo rematch, and the whole batch of generational peers at 154 and 160.

To be fair, there was nothing Canelo did in the fight to suggest he could warrant a rematch. It wasn’t like a flash KO or early stoppage, he was thoroughly outclassed for 12 rounds even when Crawford eventually stood in front of him.

It would’ve been good to see Crawford against more guys at 154/160 though but I get he’s at the tail end of his prime and wanted to call it a day.

That's weird. Why does Crawford not advise him to sign with Zuffa Boxing? I mean the UFC Modell taking 90 percent of the total revenue is way better than Sanctioning Bodies taking max. 3 percent. Also they obey their ranking system by letting Nr.1 ranked fighters wait for 3 years and then skip them completely. And at Zuffa he can compete against the likes of Callum Walsh the new Roy Jones Jr according to Max Kellerman. Unfortunately they don't believe in all these weight classes and he has to cut around 30Lbs like all the UFC fighters do and collapse right infornt of the cameras during weigh in or he can fight Cruiserweight against Jai Opetaia.

Many options at Zuffa why going for that ****ty WBC belt? What changed Bud?

Not a fan of the Sanctioning Bodies they definetly harm the sport but TKO/UFC is the worst and corrupt thing that exist in all of modern sport. And Crawford was bought by them the guy that suffered so much from being a victim of being "blackballed" according to him supports a system which is build around black balling fighters. Crawford is an all time great boxer but as a human he is a puppet that sold his soul.

I suppose if he felt he was going to retire, he could just **** on everything and if he was going to be paid some inside $$$ to help promote another organization since now he had the mic, he was going to get that easy money on top of what he already earned.

Though yeah, I don't condone a dude who complained about struggling to get opportunities and then once he did and happily took them, he goes back to bad talk the organization when it came due to pay the fees.
