Comments Thread For: Eddie Hearn's rivalry with Zuffa gets real, and he's ready to fight

I have to agree with Hearn. If any other (Big) Promoter would have put on the fights that Zuffa scheduled for the first 3 Events they would have faced such major backlash.

Imagine your first 3 Main Events are Walsh vs Ocampo, Valenzuela vs Torres and Martin vs Ajagba. Even if you would put all these 3 Main Events on 1 Card it would still be a weak card and fans would trash it.
But somehow i see people say solid cards : D These cards are not solid and they pretty weak compared to the fights that are ahead of us the next weeks.

Hearn found the one guy more obnoxious than him. Remarkable

These cards wouldn't even be good for ProBox TV on Youtube for free.

Surprised no one mentioned the lack of tickets to the show and the cost ($500+) of the ones made available.

Unfortunately I don't think it will be the case. FNF etc were televised. Zuffa is on paramount which requires a subscription and I don't know anyone that uses the paramount streaming service. I forgot it even exists. ProBox on YouTube is more like Tuesday night fights, free and you don't need a YouTube subscription.

On another site Hearns is quoted talking about how he failed Jai and didn't get him the right fights etc. Basically not blaming Jai cause he didn't do his part. They neglected and couldn't market the most feared guy at cruiserweight. (Benavidez said that he'll face Zurdo, but needs time to get ready for someone like Opetaia.

I can't speak for anyone else but I personally won't give Paramount one thin dime. I have had a beef with them since the 80s with their shoddy treatment of the FRIDAY THE 13TH series, and that's a benign grievance at best in comparison with other shady practices of which they're involved. They are the epitome of corporate stooges.
