andre ward: a case study on lying by omission


this is the craziest video ive ever seen of someone twisting themselves into a pretzel to try and explain how his story and reality do not align and it just doesn't go well for him....at all.


first of all his own promoter said he ducked ggg in court along with other fighters like bute. ward wanted dmitri sartison, hbo wanted bute, ggg, etc...and ward refused those fights as his own promoter confirms. wards promoter won the lawsuit as the court agreed many fights were presented to ward but it was wards fault that he didnt take them so his promotional agreement would continue without time being taken off. ward wanted time taken off from his contract because he agreed to fights against bums like sartison so that should count. its not his fault hbo rejected them! he didnt address that time in history because he cant.


the big thing that ward reveals and emphasizes is that ward simply wasnt ready to fight ggg. his own offer confirms this. his own words confirm this. the offer was not to fight straight away. it was each guy gets a tune up then they fight...what the hell is that? why? he glosses over this and moves on quickly because it kills his whole argument and kills his whole vibe.

so lets break down the timeline here according to wards own offer. ggg fights lemieux in october 2015, someone else in early 2016 then ward in middle of 2016...all this while hes wbc mandatory to cotto and or canelo. thats so absurd in every way. rejected in 15 minutes! ward tries to twist this as if it helps his case but in reality it shows how laughable and unserious his offer was and nothing more. of course you arent going to take more than a couple minutes to reject a guy who isnt ready to fight. lets revisit the fight later when you are ready is a perfectly normal response. ward doesnt even realize how he comes off and how he was the one who wasnt ready at every step of the way.



by 2016 ward was fully at 175 and fully locked into a contract to fight kovalev yet hes talking about ggg fighting dominic wade and kell brook in instead of him? motherfooker you are the one that is at 175 and you are the one that is already signed to fight someone else what the fook are you talking about? they literally told you to revisit the fight when you are ready and you went up a division and signed to fight someone else. how the fook is that ggg's fault? because canelo ducked him isnt gggs fault either sorry try again. if you wanted ggg to fight you instead of wade you should have waited around but you didnt! you wanted ggg to wait around for your sorry ass while you have a bunch of tune ups but you cant wait for him to see if canelo is going to fight him? fooking ridiculous

But of course one of the excuses used by Golovkin’s team to duck Ward was that they already had a fight scheduled.
