I know which is precisely why Mayweather AVOIDED him in his prime just like numerous other dangerous fighter's e.g. Pacquiao, Cotto etc.

Nonsense. Remember that post fight interview when they asked Shane about fighting Floyd next and he replied that he had plans to go on trips and he had a loose tooth and might need to see a dentist? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Yeh, Floyds just too specialized like Willie Pep, rather than SRR. Floyd couldve got more kos, but hed be hit more, then people wouldnt be talking about how elusive he was.

In other words, he didn't care about protecting his '0' and preferred chasing glory instead. That's why he had 201 pro fights and retired at 44.

Fighter's nowadays (bar Pacquiao) simply DON'T take those kind of risks.
this is false. Sugar Robinson jeeted Charley while manny jeeted Tall Paul instead opting for a diminished Antonio

Sugar Ray Robinson famously avoided a fight with the highly skilled Charley Burley, reportedly stating, "I'm too pretty to fight Burley". Burley, a formidable master technician from the "Black Murderers' Row" era, was considered too risky and dangerous for a high-profile, low-reward matchup.

Key details regarding this famous boxing anecdote:
          • The Quote: Robinson supposedly made the "too pretty" comment while watching Burley fight from ringside, highlighting the danger Burley posed to a champion's reputation and face.
          • Burley’s Reputation: Burley was an exceptional defensive and counter-punching technician who was avoided by many top contenders and champions.
          • Avoiding Risks: Robinson reportedly doubled his price to fight Burley, ensuring the fight would not happen.
          • Financial/Career Factors: Experts argue that fighting a dangerous, non-marquee opponent like Burley offered little financial gain for a rising star like Robinson.
Despite the quote often being used as evidence of a "duck," some analyses suggest it was more of a pragmatic business decision rather than fear.

Charley was the best skilled among a group of widely ducked bbc boxers

instead the anybody, any weight mentality was found in Harry, Sam, Henry, Ezzard, and Archie

Sugar Robinson and manny were superstars

boxing superstars always have tactical matchmaking that results in missing some names

Going for the ko, means that Floyd increases his chances of getting hit back, and he don't want that.

Nah imo he rather run hold and lovetap for 12 rounds, the judges are in his pocket so why take any chances

                That era was flimsy AF
                Mob controlled
Boxing back then was littered with glorified bouncers and bartenders whose only talent was eating punches.
                Rules ????

Shane was lightweight champion from August 1997 to April 1999. Floyd didn’t move up to lightweight until 2002.

Gtfoh they were both lightweights and the fact remains Shane called him out. Asked Floyd to come up 1 division and get that smoke.

Floyd came up with some crap about trying to break Monzon's title defense streak. Yeah ok

Sound like he moved up when he knew the coast was clear

Debating Pac tards is like shooting fish in a 1 gallon paint can.
They reLIE on fables and falsehoods and statements taken out of context.
Refuse to put their Lord and Savior under the same microscope they put May under.
Too cowardly to answer the most basic of question -
"Would they or would they not run away from RANDOM BLOOD tests ?"
(We all know the answer !)

It's a pleasure to humiliate them with facts and very satisfying outing them as being the epitome of a coward, for ducking that simple question of morality.
The closest those saps come will be via deflection.
