Hatton should not retire in my opinion,but,only if he still has it.

I can understand he desires to fight Mayweather again,it's big money and BIG challenge,at least he got steel balls.

There is absolutely no point to this fight other than to diminish Mayweather's reputation and legacy. I don't care if it sells out Wembley Stadium. How is this any different than Oscar saying he got screwed in the decision and wants a rematch with Floyd?

This is just plainly and simply a bad fight for Ricky. There's really no other way to say it. Hatton has fights out there that are actually winnable. Other than for financial gain, this fight would make no sense for Ricky to take. Diaz, Marquez, and Amir are all better options.

i dont know how to react to this post yet, at first i was like
"damn hatton shut da fucck up already" but then i thought about it, he has a very good point, the ref was a dicckhead in the fight but what do u expect is joe cortez, hes infamous for being a dicckhead.. after that loss hatton was damaged goods, he wasnt the same as a fighter or even a person, the loss made him break down and cry often, it affected him deeply so pacquiao knocked out mayweather's leftover.

but at the same time im thinkin " shhit, ricky probably just gave mayweather a new excuse on why he wont fight shane mosley", cuz floyd might pop out and say "if hatton want it, lets do it", cuz remember theres way more money in a hatton rematch regardless of his losess, his fans will be there by the million.

i honestly think if joe smolger was the ref that night floyd wouldve gotten cut up and bruised up, hatton was makin his head bobble everytime they fought on the inside but it didnt last long cuz dicckhead cortez came in to give a speech, but i think floyd wouldve won anyway but the fight would be more exciting with smolger as the ref.

I just rewatched that fight the other day and I dont know where you think Ricky was even in the fight. Floyd was setting him up for the check-hook in the 1st round. When i watched it the 1st time I did think Ricky was doing well but after rewatching it after so long I cant see anything Ricky was doing to trouble Floyd besides being aggressive, but not very effective. Rewatch it.

25 seconds in, 42 seconds in, 1:02 in, 2:14 in.

Floys is nailing Hatton with clean shots the whole time. Hatton is putting pressure and making it look like hes in the fight by wrestling and throwing punches but nothing much is really landing.

The reason floyd won was because hatton was not allowed to fight his fight. Mayweather needs to rematch hatton with an unbiased ref, and maybe on neutral ground or on ricky's turf.

See if you had watched the fight without bias you'd see that Mayweather did all the holding to bring the ref in, just like Dirrell and spent the first 6 rounds running - just like Dirrell. The one thing Mayweather did differently to Dirrell was throw more, but they were all pitty patty backfoot punches EXCEPT the ones after the ref would break them up unnecessarily. The ref was the only reason Mayweather got any big punches in.

couldn't agree more... if he wouldn't take the oscar rematch, why on earth would he take hatton on again...

i swear to god if he takes this fight, it will prove to me that he is only back for money and not his actual legacy and i will never defend him again... he can make big money fighting whoever now so Fatboy needs to shut the *** up and quit doing interviews when he is ****faced
