"Prince" Naseem Hamed was a little guy who could whack, drawing big crowds and big money. He divided opinion and was must-see TV. He was unique, a moment in time.

He has a good mindset when it comes to leaving the highs in the past and accepting they were a moment in time.
However when it comes to this: “So, I can’t think of a lowest of the low" maybe he should consider his jail time for dangerous driving, having smashed a man up so badly that he was unable to ever work again.. and then run away from the scene of the crime.
One of the worst fights I have ever witnessed was him fighting in Detroit due to the Arab population back in the day, and it was like going to an amateur wrestling match, f_ _ k Hamed!
Remember when he ducked JM Marquez for years? Cash Cow ducked his mandatory. Everybody knows he would have lost. Are we calling this guy great because he beat Kevin Kelly? Hype job.
Has any other boxer literally tripled in size like he has after retiring?
Not even AI could create an image like that, lol. Someone went crazy shoving a balloon inflator up his ass and fell asleep and came back later to find him looking like that.

What utter BS. Hamed quit after his first loss, his ego couldn't take it, he didn't have the balls to try to avenge it. that's what everyone knows.
Great interview. Looking forward to seeing the film - not many, if any, boxing films focus on the fighter - trainer relationship. Hamed seems to imply that he would have liked some input into the film and it seems strange that you'd make a film like this without speaking to one of the two main protagonists.

It seems Hamed is still a divisive figure 25 years later.
